The Miracle at St. Anna
Before this movie there was a public feud between Spike Lee and Clint Eastwood. Well after seeing this movie Spike Lee needs to take a dose of his own activist medicine because this film was complete and utter crap.
The entire film you basically are left to wonder who the real enemy is, the Nazi's or the white man. This film had so many military blunders, lack of character depth and story that Spike Lee's criticism of Eastwood's films make him appear like an even more bigot by the films end. As well as the film is based off a Novel, in which the author even says a majority is a work of fiction.
Hopefully Spike Lee won't make another War film but if he does hopefully someone will persuade him to tell the story of the 442nd Infantry Regiment during WWII. In which many of the soldier's families were in internment camps.
Racism isn't just Black and White Mr. Lee.

it's a shame that spike lee's recurring topics mixed with the inevitable decline of an artist leads people to think of him this way (a bigot), especially with what a classic "do the right thing" is
but hey, it might've just been a bad script

Ive never seen the movie, you might want to change the image because it has protected access or something like that.

Anyone who supports racial discrimination, is a bigot. I'm sure spike approves of Affirmative Action, something that MLK would never have approved of.

affirmative action was a hard counter to racial discrimination, brought on by an age where employers and admissions officers would not hire or accept equally qualified minorities. since you can't really convince someone in that era not to choose, say, the white guy over the black guy, the only way to emulate equality was the law. i believe that it was necessary for a time, though it's becoming obsolete.

Tx for the heads up.

I actually have this movie on my hard-disk for quite some while and never got the time to watch it.
I'll just delete it now.

I heard it was complete garbage. I saw the trailer and thought it had promise.
Oh well, looks like Do The Right Thing and Malcolm X are still the only 2 great Spike Lee movies.
