Our Lady Peace has been my favourite band since I first heard them, and I realised that their first album "Naveed" isn't an English word today. I never really questioned it before, and I kind of just assumed I knew what it meant, too. Like a man who's feeding birds, and kind of likes doing that, but really he'd like to be feeding fucking polar bears or something. A dissatisfaction with life and desire for more. Somehow I convinced myself that was what it meant. But then I looked it up in the Dictionary and it's not there :O!

So does anyone know what it actually means? Is it a foreign word or something?

Oh drat... YouTube says it means "bearer of good news" in Persian... I don't trust YouTubeians anyway. And I like my definition better...

EDIT: Oh.. wikipedia says that's what it means too... it's a given name. T.T [He knew someone named Naveed, that makes sense now...]
