So im able to start a blog now since i recently joined TL.
I am not new to the starcraft scene, but im still a noob at playing. I decided to join TL because i heard tasteless mention that this was an awesome website for following pro starcraft.
I mouse is a logitech G5, and i don't use a keyboard for starcraft , instead i use a gamepad that has all my starcraft hotkeys bound to it. so if you were to watch me play you would see my left hand flying around my gamepad pressing hotkeys.
I think thats all for now, and i shall update my blog when i have something interesting to share.
And remember, to be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid.

Welcome to Teamliquid!
I suggest using a keyboard, it's easier when you wanna chat so you don't need to switch around, and some people would argue that what you're using is cheat But no one cares really unless it's at a high level.
Good luck!

Cool. I use a Logitech G5 mouse as well I would suggest you use a keyboard though. Like Zoler says, its more convenient to switch between playing and chatting and people may bitch that you are cheating.
Also as you heard from Tasteless, you should be able to have lots of fun following Starcraft Progaming on this site. (Hint: you can start by having fun with TLPD )
Welcome to TL and hope you enjoy your stay :D

Btw forgot to add I use Logitech MX518, it's "way better"

Hi, welcome to TL. (:
But could you clear something up for me? You use a gamepad like a controller thing you'd normally see used for consoles? Or like a numpad with the shortcut keys modded to to fit the 3x3 grid thing in the UI?
I don't get how you can possibly properly play SC with a controller...even if you did the above that I mentioned, do you have space for all ten assignable hotkeys...
As the people above me have recommended, getting used to a keyboard will be best if you want to improve your game on a competitive (as in not just fastests, BGH, UMS, etc, but proper melee) level.

this is my akward keybind setup ill probally change it later

oh dude you need more hotkeys than this^^
i also suggest to get a real keyboard^^
|
yea but i wanted to be different, and i dont really plan to play competitive, i just like following pro starcraft. ill switch to a keyboard when the sc2 beta comes out
|
Hmm...from the looks of that, You won't be able to easily access a lot of the production hotkeys...as in nearly all of them. Playing zerg won't work without having easy access to the "s" key...and terran has nearly nothing. :X
If you play just for fun, that's fine...but even then, you're severely limiting your potential...and I'm one who plays just for fun as well (gave up on trying to rank up on iccup a while ago).

I don't get it, does that game controler actually exist or is it photoshoped or something? Why would you want a keyboard on a xbox controler? :s
|
