Software is amazing. Enables you to do so many things. Here are a list of a few that i just can't live without.(No particular Order) Most of them are freewares.
-Firefox 3.0 I'm a Fox fan till i die. It was the first thing to liberate me from the awfulness of IE6 (holy !#$%, that shit was painful, i can't believe i browsed the net with that fuckin' piece of crap for most of my online life). So , Fox fan till i die.. I really doubt that Chrome will turn out to be better. If it does, then FF4 will regain the title. as for safari and opera and all the others...mehhhhh
-uTorrent? ^_^...allright allright, you already know the deal
-Soulseek. Your #1 P2P For music. Limewire ? > hehehehehe...Limewire PRO ? hahaha, rrrrrright. When you have used Soulseek (a freeware) you'll immediately find extreme irony in the fact that the Limewire guys are actually askin' for 10 bucks for their 'Pro' version.
-Foobar2000. Your #1 Audio player. Especially when you start to have a big ass mp3 database. This thing is a must for any serious Soulseek users. Forget winamp, forget itunes, forget windows media player. This player is where its at. This is for the real players.
-Emule. This P2P is crazy. Ridiculous selection. Some files might take you a long ass time to download..and some might never finish...but i've hit speeds as fast as 350k/s due to simply have a long list of files that were being downloaded at the same time. Overall this program is dope. I use this mostly for rare videos and rare programs but you can find pretty much whatever the fuck you want.
ACDSee Image manager. The hottest photo manager out there. Really really cool if you want to organize your pictures. Create albums etc..
J.River Media Center 13. Wow, one of my most recent discoveries. Same thing as ACDsee for this one is great to manage videos and although it can also work with pictures and audio, i prefer to use other programs for these (see above). I had been looking for a really long time for a good software that could help me organize my videos because i was starting to have so many of them. I tried pretty much all of them and nothing was optimal...until i finally found this. thank god.
YoutubeDownloader .thats pretty cool. lets you download youtube videos and save them into .flv video files
PerfectUninstaller. Pretty cool little program that gives you the power to remove pretty much any application that you're having problems when you're trying to uninstall them . I only used it once..when i was having problems trying to remove Nero Burning from my PC cuz it was taking so much space. Worked like a charm. Nero was gone in seconds.
Avast. #1 Antivirus, combines anti spyware, antimalware, antiworm, antifuckineverything. Really really powerful, never ever had a problem with this thing. When you try this out, you'll tend to forget what the fuck viruses or spywares are exactly...they become so obsolete.
What are you guys MUST-HAVE software?

|
You seriously fail. What software do you think is most important to Teamliquid?
+ Show Spoiler +
:D!
For me, Cryptload, mIRC as well as ICQ/MSN are the most useful and important softwares. Probably also Nero and VLCPlayer.
Edit: I thought Soulseek was dead?

Ableton 7alllll the way.
after that Firefox/Songbird.

VLC player, aim, utorrent are the programs that I auto install on any new computer.

-VLC media player is awesome compared to almost any player out there and free. -Openoffice for those that cant afford office or cant use the "alternative download" -Small ones like Winrar, cdisplay (allows to watch images compresed, mostly for manga), flv player, eclipse (basically a text editor but with nice features for programming). -ICQ is still alive?

Where I can i try to have my software free and multiplatform.
ZoneAlarm Firewall. First thing to go on a fresh install. Does very little but all i need.
avg 75 free. I'm not gonna pay, obviously. Just don't set it to update everyday. (Oh lol, I didn't even install it yet on this pc)
Google Chrome. I came back from Ubuntu for this beauty. (and starcraft offcourse )
Vlc. Plays everything, and is multiplatform.
Universal extractor. Extracts everything.
uTorrent. Lightwight.
Pidgin. Multiplatform multiservice instant messenger. Has everything except..
Skype. Used it to talk to my gf. Now I use this while starcrafting. I guess I should get ventrillo or smt? What's hot for that purpose?
Irfanview. Supersmall basic image editing program. Supports command line / batch use. Fast.
Audacity. Because I was tired using Peter Quistgards serial number, and this thing looks a lot like cool edit anyways.
Oh and starcraft ofcourse, the one from iccup. That's all you need and runs off a usb-stick.

Rrrrrright Charlie. Thats why im switching songs with foobar while im checking out replays. And yes, you can cuztomize global keys to whatever key you want.
foobar is superior to winamp in every respect. (it was designed by a former winamp employee)

1. ROCKBOX > iTunes
Wow when I first found this, I remember I was nutting all over myself. Having to wait for itunes to dl album art and format for gapless playback is...aggravating to say the least. Plus the fact that you can just drag and drop music, custom skins, games, what else is there not to love? F U APPLE
2. Audacity
I listen to 100% trance, and often times there would be one or two songs that I love but they are mired 40 minutes into a live set, so being able to easily cut out the crap, speed it up, etc is awesome.
3. Bitpim
Make your own ringtones? Add your own wallpapers to your phone? Easily backup and load contacts, calendar, etc onto your phone? Checkmate.

Most of the software I use on a daily basis i keep in my C:\Windows so i can access it very quickly using win+r. Also keeps my desktop nice and clean from icons. And that also means I can give you a nice screenprint of all the software I use often enough to warrant a space in my c;\windows Ta-Da!
