what amazes me most is that people actually RATED my post

it's not circulation. i've had circulatory problems before. its my nervous system doing something fucking retarded (which it has done before).

last time this happened, the doctor told me to take 1800-2400mg of advil DAILY. apparently, w/ over the counter medicine, the pain relief works in small doses, but you need a hell of alot for the anti-inflammatory effect to kick in.

this is plagued me for far too long (to the point where i basically had to limit my starcraft playing time to virtually nothing for few month long periods). i'm going to pursue some serious treatment

is half of your hand (pinky and ring finger) also numb? if so it could be cubital tunnel syndrome. if you tend to exert a lot of pressure on your elbows (eg. you use a solid surface such as your arm rests to lean your elbows on while at the computer) for a prolonged period of time parts of your arms will go numb. i had this for a while. i stopped resting on my elbows so much and tried to keep my elbows as straight as possible and the numbness and tingling went away after 3-4 days.

Looks like you got some neuritis. You can take up to 1200 mg per day of Ibuprofen for two-three days.

Or if you like cortical steroid pills with hydrocortisone, check the doses as I don't know them...

Numbness is usually caused by hyperventilation. If you feel numbness you soetimes hyperventile without noticing.
Try to keep calm and understand that it is probably nothing dangerous.

I once felt the same thing and I was really scared and I didn't calm down enough so it was very frightening. However nothing dangerous and after I visited the doctor I was calmed down and later it just disappeared.

Day I don't know a single thing about your situation, but everytime I've had odd numbness in my arms, or calfs, I've had my stepdad align my back and not moved for an hour, and it always seems better. I have no clue if you know anybody who you can trust to do that for you though.

I recommend you pm mr.doctor from bulgaria and see if you can give him a more accurate description .... and he can make more educated guess.
