In my opinion the accumulation of unnecessary food and the accumulation of unnecessary time wasted in games for example is the same. By your standards you should hate everyone who plays to much games too. Anyway, I actually agree that obesity is a bad thing, but I don't see why you have such a big problem with the idea of a show to help people lose weight and motivate viewers to lose weight as well (the fact that the show has limited success is another issue). The show is not an endorsement of obesity, no one wants to be obese. They're trying to show people that you can overcome the obesity problem. | ||

eating too much and becoming fat is a vice that just happens to be visible and quantifiable. there's no reason to single it out and hating a person because of that one vice. everyone does bad shit. a lot of people want to stop doing it, but can't. it's good when they can. start with a viewpoint of compassion | ||
