(4 hour test on contracts), not as bad as engineering tho (4 hours of heat transfer was the worst final ever, I barely got my D to pass...), or as funny as the one psychology final after my 21st birthday where I nearly puked on someone at the beginning because I was still drunk from the night before....My next one is this Thursday and I no nothing about the subject + only attended like 20% of the lectures faawwk... | ||

We almost never got assignments and when we do they are forced with just p/f which means that they do not count on your grades, you just need them to get a grade at all. And this is not weak, this tests your long-term understanding a lot more since its harder to plug in a whole course than do each part and then forget it, which would still give you a passing grade in your system. Also I have no idea how we do courses outside physics/math in Sweden since here when we study our schedule is mostly filled with required courses and grading was a bit different in high-school, I guess that it is a lot more similar to your system there since you can't just have a grand final in literature. It's that time of year again folks. "Fuck finals." This is my first semester in college, and it's a bit terrifying to see people passed out at desks in the library with their notes spread out everywhere and huge bags under their eyes lol. Makes me wonder how long they've been there...should the system of education even be aimed towards this though? Like, it seems all college is, is balls to the wall studying over a notebook and laptop to get a piece of paper that says you have a degree. I have APs and SAT IIs in a bit and the difference is that we highschoolers need to get 5s and 800s instead of passing (or just doing well if you're dedicated :D). Screw AP and SAT IIs. Going to have no life for 1.5 weeks...starting now. | ||
