Sounds meniscus related or something like patellofemoral syndrome.

See a doctor or physical therapist.

Try running with a knee brace to support your knee cap. See if that helps. It could be that you need to strengthen the muscles that stabilize the joint. So stabilize it yourself for a while until they get stronger.
