Speech Class AGAIN

Another round for this BULLSHIT class, this time it is another informative speech topic which instead of being a major speech it is being labeled a minor one in which she gave us the information on Thursday and it being due on Tuesday. You can bring a object, graph, etc to support your said speech, but it has to relate to the class. For example one person says he will talk about long distance running and it's different affects on Men and Women, his object will be like a model of the spine. Another chose running and how athletic shoes help athletes or something, his object a shoe. In which she asked was he going to cut up the shoe and explain each part. I mean what the fuck. Bad enough this class is pointless, she has to go and over complicate the whole point of a speech and it's object.

The only thing I could think of was a history of the Draft and how it worked and how it is law to register for selective service today etc. I couldn't find any graph or anything that would work so after emailing the professor; talking with her after class and her telling me to email her because I could not think of anything, she of course has yet to reply. I bought a foam board in which I would cut and have a enlarged image of an Registration Acknowledgment Card to point out what it looks like etc. etc. Trouble is I can only find one and the people at Kinko's can't enlarge it enough to make it look nice on a 20x30 foam board without looking like crap.

God I hate this class.

Man, I loved my speech class a few years back. I just had fun with all my speeches and made them about relatively pointless and funny things. For instance, when we had to give an informative speech, I gave one about the Slinky. I had data to back up how the slinky can model sound waves. Obviously, I used an actual slinky as my prop.

It feels like you're stressing too much about it. Have some fun with it. Everyone loves a slinky...
