Ok so... I'm applying for an assistant position in my school's Asian Cultural Society (largest club in the school) and they asked 5 questions. 2 of which I have no idea how to answer

Q4) You are writing an autobiography. Please submit page 217.

Ok so this is a college app essay kind of question right? Anyone help out? Im thinking they want an experience that shows how asian i am/how my character is. Or they want to learn somethign unique/asianish about me?

Q5) Pick an ACS board member to go on a date with. Where would you take him/her and why?

i thought both this and #4 were jokes but a board member told me they were legit. what the hell?

any help is appreciated.. thank you

i know colleges/universities sometimes ask really weird questions like these for admissions to see how students respond. they wanna see creativity. one university application essay asked "what's better - guerrillas or gorillas?"

have fun with these questions; bring out your creative side.

for the first question, i think that one way to do this is to write an essay that you would have written if the question were just "describe an experience that reveals an important aspect of your personality" or something like that. but then make sure your essay fits the prompt. make sure some things are left out if you start reading it (like you would if you went to a random page of a book youve never read before and started reading there), but make sure those things are implied, can be inferred, or can be something that is up to the reader's imagination. same thing with the ending. you dont wanna tell everything to the reader, leave them hanging, but with enough info to form their own conclusion. finally, make sure that the info you leave out does not hurt the point of your essay - to reveal something unique/special about yourself to the reader. the content (what it reveals about you) of the story/experience shouldn't be cut short, but things that aren't necessary (such as what ended up happening, or what caused it, pretty much things that may be important to a story, but not to revealing your qualities) you can leave out. this makes it fit the prompt - like you just took a page out of an autobiography and read just that.

For the 5th one, make it reaaalllyyy sappy. Like you'll take her (or him if you flow that way) to a beach at sunset and as the cool sea breeze whistles through your hair, you reach in for the kiss....

I hate these 'creative' questions that colleges use for application to RA positions or clubs with a passion. WTF do you mean what kind of tool would I be if I could be any tool? The most unprofessional crap.
