so yesterday my networking class starts at 10;30am, and i woke up around 10am and i was like FUCK, IM GOING TO BE LATE!! thinking the class starts at 10 instead of 10;30 so i drove to campus, parked my car and hurried to class and its like 10;28am and i went to the class. the door was locked and the lights were off and im like ah did class cancel today? and then one of my classmates comes and idk why, like, in my head im like is he waiting for the prof? theres a 15min rule where if prof doesnt show, the class cancels so im like 'yeah door is locked. prof isnt there.' and hes like nodding at me and im like okay?
so i stand around for a few minutes then i just leave and i found out today class starts at 10;30. its weird because i always go to class knowing the time but yesterday i dont know. i guess i was out of it. anyway, i also found out the class ended fast too bc no one really showed up.
anyone had these days before? >_<

YES!!
I am in high school and I need to get up at 8:30 every morning to make for my bus at 8:50. So I woke up one day looked at the clock and saw ":45" OMG i completely freak out, jump out of my bed, have about a 30 second shower, pull on my clothes, brush my teeth, get all my shit together, and run out side. Once outside I look at my watch to check the time, and I see "7:53"

You should always carry your schedule. If you think something is wrong, always double check the schedule.

Edit: on a campout in the winter I woke up a bit early and got out of my tent because it was already getting light out. I wait around and it doesn't get any lighter... and it turns out it was like 2-3 am and the snow was making it look like dawn lol

Nah, never had one. I check my schedule like ten times while preparing myself for sleep mode. :p
You have 5 minutes until the bus and you take a shower? Huh? I'd never go to school without showering in the morning, my hair is in terrible shape after sleeping and there's no way it can be fixed into something that actually looks like hair without a good long shower.

Once outside I look at my watch to check the time, and I see "7:53" You have 5 minutes until the bus and you take a shower? Huh? Well, I would do the same thing, lol. Mostly just to shampoo/condition my hair really quickly and gtfo if there really is no more time. My hair gets so extremely greasy if it goes unwashed for more than like 16 hours, and I have emofag-length hair, so it looks really disgusting if it's greasy.
EDIT: Also, on a completely unrelated note, am I the only person who brushes his teeth in the shower? I always brush my teeth during my morning showers, and use my downstairs set before I go to sleep, or after I eat something. But about the shower thing, am I alone on this? ' -'a

ive always want to brush my teeth in showers but i shower at night and its not something like i shower then sleep, its like i shower, watch tv, hw, stuff, sleep so it doesnt work out.

So you skipped class and the professor didn't mind?
I once took a nap and woke up and it said 7:30 and it was pm but I thought I took a long nap and it was the next day so I hurry up and get ready to go to church and my parents are like what are you doing. I felt really dumb

I hate these days especially if you have an important assignment due!!
One day I woke up without hearing my alarm clock since there was a power outage last night. I woke up so disorientated looking at my alarm clock blinking 12:00 am, repeatably. My mom tells me there was a power outage last night, so I scream holy shit I'm fucking running late to class. I quickly pack up my school books and other supplies then change my clothes faster than superman's changing booth. I grab a soda and banana throw myself down the stairs to my car bleeding. I get into my car rushing like a madman and notice the car's alarm time, it's 9:30 class started 9:00. So i get to class and nobody is there!? I see a group of people that I know in the classroom so hurried and asked them why nobody is in class?? They start laughing at me while I'm looking at them like this They tell my it's Tuesday, we don't have class today! If you could see my face you'll probably never forget it, in sheer shock!

One time last year I got up a whole hour early, went in to the wrong class (the one right before mine, in the same room), and sat in there for like 5 minutes before getting up and leaving while everyone was looking at me probably like "wtf is that kid doing?"
Also, to the OP, I don't really understand what your problem was. You were there at 10:28, class started at 10:30.. and yet it also didn't?
|
I've done that except it was a fucking Saturday.

Yeah, I remember a couple times waking up at like 7:00-ish (High school starts at 7:35 and I live about 20-25 minutes out from the school), and my dad hadn't even woken up yet. He's a teacher at the school, so he's drive to school and then I'd bus back home. I was hurriedly trying to get all ready and stuff, and then trying to wake my father up and he'd be like "There's a two hour delay/snow day/etc." If it was a two hour delay I'd usually SC/CoD4/Doom/etc. for a bit then go to school. If it was a snow day I'd usually invite a friend over/go to friend's house or go to sleep. But yeah, some very frantic moments.

I love the moments when you wake up and you realize its a snow day so you rush back in bed with all your clothes on and go back to sleep
