But first things first: John Andrew Thorburn was honored by Senator John J. Flanagan and was presented with the Conspicuous Service Cross.
The Conspicuous Service Cross is bestowed on individuals in New York State whose “service to the country was of high standard and honorable demeanor."
R.A. the Rugged Man speaks about his father's military service on one of the illest verses I have ever heard. I'm sure many of you have heard this but in case you haven't:
Uncommon Valor
Now, since the only praise I have heard from my last post is for Charles Hamilton, and because he has been slowly climbing my "Favorite Artist" ladder for sometime now I thought I would post my thoughts on some of his projects thus far.
Crash Landed:Link
The first of his tapes to hit the internet, and by far my favorite based on production alone. Brooklyn Girls, Stutter, Incomplete Circle, and Ambititons are my personal favorites but the whole tape is banging.

Death of The Mixtape Rapper:
There were other tapes that came out between crash landed and this but they contained a lot of old material and nothing that did Charles Justice. This is the first mixtape from the Hamiltonization Project which i talked about in my last blog. This is Charles's "Crowd Favorite." The quality sounds much better and the entire album is blessed with lyrical Fire. Most Notable Tracks: Windows Media Player, Harlem, Presidential Pondering, and Do what you Love
And then they Played Dilla:
When I heard about this project I got pretty nervous and for good reason. Charles raps on exclusively Dilla production and doesn't do it to much justice. The tape is short and none of the songs are much better than the next but overall it is solid.
Staff Development:
The most recent tape from the Hamiltonization Project. I haven't heard much from it but Hamilton brings the crew with tracks from Show Tufli, Yung Nate, I.S.A and others.
