If human faith is the most powerful thing in the mind. why not place it in something that means well? I'm not going to debate cause I always lose but I'm Christian and I'm keeping it that way xD If human faith is the most powerful thing in the mind (that's a big IF, but i'll humor you), that doesn't necessarily make it useful. And yes, it should be placed in something that means well but unfortunately this faith causes people to use their religion as an excuse to do bad things to others (wars). I'd like you to consider another question of mine (and thanks for answering by the way); did you consider (I mean research, study etc) other religions before choosing Christianity? When you consider the repercussions of choosing the wrong one would be so terrible, wouldn't it be your foremost concern to ensure you picked the right one and hence do a LOT of research into what religion you chose to follow? Maybe my decisions were flawed but it's what I chose to believe. I have full respect with other peoples religions. Ask a preacher. I'm just a 13 year old boy! Innocence is all I have left don't take it from me!!! Nobody is asking you to abandon your faith. I just enjoy discussing it. The fact that you're a 13 year old boy and seem so set in your decision is actually what worries me. You've got plenty of life ahead of you, and you shouldn't be making those types of decisions (just yet). The time of life you're in right now should be about information gathering, so you can make a more informed decision later in life (I'm 21 and still am yet to make any kind of decision, though religion in the form the bible presents it isn't doing much to convince me). Also, I find it strange you tie innocence to belief in a religion... I never said you were asking me to abandon my religion? The fact that he revealed his power to me cements my beliefs in him. One night I was feeling really depressing. So I prayed " Dear Lord, please just make me feel happy." After that. I couldn't stop laughing and smiling for the rest of the night. Another time is when I was at a youth convention. I had the strangest feeling of my life. It felt like my back just inflated, got cold and deflated right away. After that, I was so thrilled and happy for the rest of the night. So I firmly believe in Jesus and the fact that the modern world has accpeted religion and more and mroe there are television shows tryiong to disprove Bible theories yet they simply can't. If you look in the book of Revelations, there are a lot of predidctions that are coming true. SO not only do I hold firm faith. I have little evidencxe to support mine, and millions of others faith.
Wait, I don't know get what happened to your back, just some sensational feeling? But I'm pretty similar to you, I was 13 as well in freshman year, and it felt pretty good and still kinda does taking the same courses as people who are a year older, but I don't get the best grades. I've been going to church my whole life and my family is all up tight about church, but God has blessed me with people who care, I used to hate it cuz my dad became a pastor and we just moved churches, some small Korean one and the building was small but as more people came, it became a really nice place. I feel that I'm a christian but I'm not really sure why, sometimes I wonder if I woulda been like a muslim if (you have to know your history for this) if the muslim empire attacked europe back in like the 15th century and won, thus influencing europe and then america. Even though I'm korean, I moved to America at a young age and maybe there woulda been more islamic influences? Crazy thoughts I think of sometimes. I actually had some deep discussions at my church, a guy that wnats to go to church but doesn't believe asked alot of realistic questions, like why is Christianity the only way? Has God done something miracously in your life? Why did you take christianity instead of anything else? Why do you believe it? Like what you said, the Creator that created everything, and he created people, if you think about it, there is no way that people were accidents, look at what we've been able to do. Although there are flaws, people killing, disabities, miscarriages, I'm sure there is a higher meaning. That was a long response.
PS: Read Purpose Driven Life, it's really good

Eh man, I've just got to question your reasons for believing. But understand I'm doing it from the perspective of honest curiosity, not trying to change your beliefs.
Have you heard of the Placebo Effect? I'm going to assume not. It was a scientific trial whereby, according to wikipedia: An example of the placebo effect was when scientists tricked runners into thinking that they were drinking oxygenated water; thus making them perform better. In reality, the runners were drinking regular tap water. When they ran they even performed better because they thought what they were drinking would enhance their performance.
So, this is really a testament to the power of faith. Faith tricks your mind, makes you feel things. You expect to feel happy, giddy because you prayed to your God. Your brain makes it happen.
The whole television show things not being able to disprove bible theories... what are you talking about? Predictions that are coming true? Give me an example.
