Mabinogi 마비노기 - Fantasy Life
Seriously you guys. Download Mabinogi here. It is the best MMORPG ever. The combat system is very tactical, so the game really does resort to skill in the end, you will get no where by grinding and leveling up and running into a room filled with Skeletons. On top of that the vast majority of things you can do are almost endless. AND the best thing evarrrrrrrrrr is the fact that they update it frequently! New stuff 4evaaaaa!
Btw join "Mari" server so we can play together. Here are some videos so you can see what the game is like:
Intro Gen 2 - Paladin Gen 3 - Saving Erinn
I'm Kefka on Mari server msg me thnx.

There are tons of MMO's that constantly update, but they require item shops, which turns into the only way to get good items, which makes the game worse because they make content only for people that pay, not the free users, which means its not worth playing long term.
After watching the Videos- Looks like a game for kids tbh. Like a runescape with anime characters and better graphics. I don't understand why you would want to mine, fish, farm and play music all day in an MMORPG instead of killing things.
Not saying the game is bad, just that I don't like anything about it. Can you explain the combat system?

So far the item shop in this game does not provide any "good items" - it doesn't really give you anything. The things you may purchase from the item shop are just campfire sets and tents basically, which is just as easily purchasable in the game with gold for a very low amount too (about 3000 gold for a tent, that is dirt cheap). In the future it may have some necessities in the cash shop, but as of now there is nothing that gives an advantage over a player who purchases things there than in-game.
I don't know if it was really aimed at kids. It was definitely aimed at the high school level though. I'd say its general goal is 13+ because you can't buy NX Gift cards or make purchases without being 13 or over, and I'm sure they want profit so they have to aim the level of the game to the audience who can fork over the most profit. It is a lot better than Runescape because Runescape had no strategy, no storyline, basically nothing. It was grind, grind, grind. This game is totally opposite of traditional MMORPG's. A level 10 player in Mabinogi with really good timing sense and good game knowledge could solo Rabbie Dungeon, and if a level 50 player in Mabinogi just whacks things with his sword, he honestly won't survive the first floor. I think that the combat system is the light of Mabinogi and makes every dungeon and fight a good experience.
The enemies have a complex (some really, not so complex [skeletons LOL]) AI that battles you and uses special moves. The basic moves of an enemy are Defense, Counter, Smash, normal attack. And the stronger the enemy, they may have more moves. Now it basically goes like Smash > Defense > Counter > Smash. But as you fight more battles you can really form new strategies, like doing 1 Normal Hit + Windmill into Defense mode. Also there is lots of party strategies such as combining spell shots, or doing Icebolt + Windmill, etc. I know this doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'd say this is easily the hardest MMORPG around since getting one-hit killed is really common even in older dungeons that were released a while ago (Rabbie LOL).
I know this game isn't for some of you older guys here but I think that if you enjoy it, play it.
Gotta go to school some of you better join KTHNX.

played it since korean open beta for about a month
stopped playing and never looked back

I tried this a few months back out of boredom, I didn't like it. It had that really generic feel to it..
|
the screenshot reminded me of harvest moon

I played this before and found it to be enjoyable until I realized how easy it was to die, then tried looking for ez buttons (rebirthing, as advertised by my friend). Finding out it wasn't implemented yet/costed money, NO THANKS.
Edit: If rebirthing is now implemented and free I'd play.. Is it?
As a little side note, you know who I am.
