Those 10 days mean more for me than 1998 - 2008 ( except for Deus Ex ;D ) 10 Days > 10 years. That shows how bad the game industry is for ages.

The only thing I regret about my childhood is that the only console I had access to was a Sega Mega Drive, although to this day I think the Sonic games are grrrrrreat. Except for SA2 onwards, those don't exist. I have to say Fallout 1 is probably what changed my life and made me a gamer. It was the first real game that I had just been "dropped into", I was about 9 or 10 and I was told how to move, how to switch combat modes, and how to kill things. That was it, I was left on my own to discover the post-apocalyptic world. I don't think any gaming memory of mine can come close to beating Fallout 1 for the first time; it took me literal months. The first time I played through (as kids are wanton to do) I tried to kill everyone in The Hub - that didn't work out too well, because they all had Combat Armor and submachine guns or automatic rifles. I also remember the fact that there was a really cool NPC named Ian who would follow you, and the guy who gave me the game was also called Ian, so I protected that NPC with my life yo. Sigh... good times. I relived this phenomenon when Fallout 2 came out, and even more so when I discovered you could keep playing after the game was ended. I still have to wonder how many people don't know about the "Fallout 2 Answerbook" and the PC you can access in Vault City after the game. I remember having a contest with one of my friends to see who could get the highest positive karma, we gave up at like 3.5k with the title Savior of the Damned. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel came a few years later, and while obviously not the same as the previous 2, I have to say it was still a brilliant game in its own right. The multiple endings rocked too, I liked that in all 3 of the Fallout series. Don't talk to me about Fallout 3 though. -_-
