hahaha. This is so true. Only in Asia. It's really fucking dangerous if you're not careful and most of the time they don't even have bannisters lol.

Have you been playing bw... you do have wcg comming up and it would be great to see one of our english caster always doing well in tournament play.
And if you have been playing are you getting advice/help from any of the pros your meeting/staying with?
The stairs thing reminds me of being in mexico, I face planted completely sober.

lol yeah the stairs are crazy. i didnt play for about 15 day after getting here, but just started to at pc bangs now. its not the equipment that im used to which makes it a bit annoying, but its better than nothing. ill def be in usa for the wcg finals. i've learned a LOT about the different ways that foreigenrs and koreans look at sc which has made me understand the game itself much more.

Pretty interesting stuff xD. Thanx again Artosis!!

Can you not bring your own mouse and keyboard?

to sum it up real quick: koreans are absolutely die hard about mechanics.

For players outside of korea I'm sure there is a big demand for you to explore that topic more if you would like.

And yeah, Pizza Hut is SO expensive. Which one were you at? I was at Myung-Dong (명동) and I think the regular size was 16 bucks and with drinks, the total came out to like 21 dollars.
But clothes and such are really expensive.

the cheese is for the crust after you finish your slice, your supposed to dip it in the cheese and eat it

I only have measured stairs once (for a lab in physics) but at least in my school the first step was ~1cm shorter than the others so most stairs are probably like that, just not enough to notice.

Isn't this to throw rain away from the stairs :\
But yeah even a couple millimeters difference in step heights on the same staircase can mess people up.

haha sounds like you're enjoying your stay in Korea despite the uneven steps
I hate steps that are slanted forward >:o I've seen ones that were about 30 degrees slanted.. Almost fell too.

It's to increase your multitasking for starcraft.. You have to watch where you're going and watch the steps.. North Americans are lazy when it comes to mutlitasking. But oh! Those Koreans are smart

Have you noticed that just about every PC Bang is open 24 hours a day, and that quite a few of them have their own kitchens instead of little snack bars for Snickers.
Have you tried Peperos yet? Fucking awesome. If you ever find one in english it states right on the box that it can give you cancer rofl. But still try one. You'll be addicted to them. Little Biscuit sticks covered in Chocolate.

I wonder if there are things like this for foreigners in America.
I live in San Diego and nothing here seems strange to me, although maybe the shirtless and barefoot people walking around and getting served in restaraunts may seem odd to a foreigner.

When I lived in Guatemala, they had the SAME EXACT STAIRS. I hated them! What's worse is if you're in a rush and you forget about a particular section (Ie: NO stairs in the middle of stairs. WTF?)
It was dark and going up this certain section the stairs stop for a few steps and it's just a big hole, then the stairs start up again. I forgot about the hole. It was a painful experience I will never forget. I had to have these two little kids help pull me out. ><
Korea sounds like a great place. I'm actually a fan of warm places.

Ya, food in korea is very cheap but everything else is expensive. Thats just how it is lol

pizza hut salad bars r soo good. i wonder why they don't have that shit in USA? or do they? tbh i think i've only ever seen them abroad. anyways i agree with paper. i think the "nacho cheese" you saw was actually a salad dressing of some sort. they have something similar in pizza huts in the middle east.
