So at 11 AM or so today when I logged on iCCup, I had around 2500 points. I was waiting for the MOTW to change (I was getting tired of Andromeda, and usually I only mass games on a certain map per week just to get as much experience on it as possible), but I decided to play two more game. Lost a PvP (I still don't understand PvP on Andromeda, everyone does a different strat), and then won a PvZ, the guy opened with a REALLY fast Lair, so I went double Stargate and countered his Mutalisks and ended up winning.
Finally the MOTW changes, so it's time to start gaming on Python.
I won a PvZ, then won a PvT, then won a PvP (even though in the middle of the game it looked like I was gonna lose and I was telling myself 'wow, this wasn't a good game at all'). After that I was at 2960 or so points, so for the second time this season, I was one win away from C-.
Now here's where it begins: PvP on Python, guy tries to do a manner pylon but somehow fails (still no clue what he was doing), then does some Zealot harass and gets a few Probes. However, things are going fine for me, I'm doing my standard 2 Gate Robo build.
Then, a spider crawls on my desk so I jump up and yell 'oh my god', cause I freaking hate spiders. I wish every spider on this earth was dead. My mom comes in the room and I tell her there's a spider on my desk (she cleans houses so she sees them all the time) and ask her what type it is (I didn't want it to be a brown recluse). During all this, the game is going, I didn't pause it or anything. I learn that the spider is just a black spider, nothing special, and it jumps off the desk, so I'm no longer worried about it.
But, too late. As I sit back down DT's are in my base killing my Probes and owning my economy. By the time I get an Observer out I have like 7 Probes left and a force of 10 Goons and a Zealot. I try a counter-attack hoping my opponent was horrible, but he had 5 Cannons warping in and 4 HT's with Storm. Somehow I manage to survive for a while and force him to retreat when he attacked a few times, but his economy > mine so I eventually lost.
I thought history would repeat itself (check my last blog), but thankfully I won a PvT on Python. Talk about a plot twist.
So, just want to say: C- BABY!

As a rule I like to only think of deserving that rank if I hit it with a positive ratio, and even then at 50-50 it's inflated by the iccup points system so then I don't actually deserve the rank. Being a 50-50 D+ player myself I realise that I don't deserve that title but it does give me a chance to player better players. However I don't like to say that's my real rank as it's not, it's inflated.
