EPTI was watching the TSL when I got G-lined by irc saying that I had a trojan I've spent the last 5+ hours off and on trying to remove it from my computer and after several attempts am running one solution at the moment with undetermined results.
The only programs I had open were ChatZilla, Mozilla Firefox (razertsl.teamliquid.net/live/) and MUSHclient (mudclient) I'm relatively certain it didnt come from MUSH and seeing as there werent a torrent of complaints here I'm pretty sure it didn't come from the stream.
I neither clicked any links from the channel or opened any other websites, ng_CO kept pasting his FAQ kk: post and it was the same as Lyset's except broken up into several lines I copy pasted the entire message into one line and when I tried to post it for him I got G-Lined. This isnt an accusation just the only source that I can think of at the moment that it might have come from.
Now for the request for help:
I've run 2 scans with Norton a quickscan and a full scan and as I am posting this I am running a third scan with options checked to scan EVERY file on my computer and so that it won't skip any. I've tried windows Defender because it can sometimes catch trojans that other programs missed that did not work. I used the autoruns program to look at everything that was starting while in safe mode and removed a few malware apps but IRC still claims I have a trojan and G-Lines me again.
Dont think Quakenet is falsely detecting one of my programs as a trojan as I didnt open anything new and was on ChatZilla for over an hour before it dropped me off. Are there any other solutions you can think of?
