there is a biphasic sleep schedule whereby you sleep 4 hours at night and 2 hours in the afternoon around 2ish. A lot of people are actually having success with this, as opposed to polyphasic.
I'm kind of doing this by accident. i usually stay up till around 2am, wake up around 6:30, and then crash for 2 hours when i get home from school. Works pretty well i s'pose.
