Basically Im searching for some good (melodic) hardcore bands.
I really like Rise Against, which is like the top melodic hardcore band. From the less known bands, I really recommend Whatever it Takes (a band of one of the anti-flag members, anti-flag is pretty decent too actually). Bigwig is pretty decent too. Misconduct (a Swedish band) has really nice sound as well. Good clean fun has some nice songs, but they're kinda screaming, Im searching more for bands with clear vocals.
As for hardcore, I really, really like Blood for Blood. Does anyone know any similar bands? Ramallah is not that similar..
Ok i know this is a damn blog BUT, RISE AGAINST IS NOT FUCKING HARDCORE OR MELODIC. at all... You r are getting it confused terribly. Rise against is mainstream rock...

the music in the video is not that bad, but it has this crappy pseudo-horror feeling is this supposed to be funny or what, because it's definitely not scary
You might like This Is Hell. I personally like Sundowning more than their latest release a month ago, Misfortunes. Some tunes to check out by them are Permanence, Deliver Me, End of An Era, and Remnants. Ligeia is pretty decent as well and a few good songs by them are I'm Sorry You're Ugly and Heart Attack.

You and CA are like the only persons who gave good recommendations. Im currently listening to the bands proposed by CaucasianAsian - no trigger seems to be quite good.
Rise against is melodic hardcore according to wikipedia (not a bad source?) and last.fm (bad source?). On another board I read, people use Rise Against as a reference for other melodic hardcore bands.
In fact I dont care what type of genere do they play - Im just searching for similar songs

You should definitely listen to Bring Me the Horizon, I dont like them but the lyrics are hilarious. I particularly "like" Pray for Plagues from Bring Me the Horizon lol Look up the lyrics. But really, underoath is good
