I know everybody hates ICCup threads.
But this is just ridiculous.
Now, my mnm control against lurkers is appalling. I can micro against mutalisks, ultralisks, zerglings, sunkens, w/e. But bring in one or two of those burrowing assholes, and i lose two control groups of marines for a lurker and two lings (yes this did happen, and yes that cost me the game even though his mutalisk harass wasn't very effective at all)
But, for some reason, whenever I TvP on D-Level, I have difficulties with my mech push. I have decent vulture control, but my pushes keep getting owned by some stupid carriers and my golaiths decide to suicide into some goons.
So, obviously, the trick is to use opposing build orders against different races.
For instance, here is my current D-Level build order TvP:
8 Supply
10 Rax
12 Rax
14 Supply
15 Gas
(make marines)
18 Supply
21 Academy
24 Factory
25 Supply
26 Machine Shop
27 Rax
research stim and siege mode at some point
once you have about 16 marines and 4 medics, bring 3 scvs and a tank along, stim, etc, siege tank, build bunker right next to nexus, turrets, etc.
add a command center at their natural for lols
The result? A quick mnm timing push that abuses stim and a quick siege mode to throw off dragoons. For some reason, on D Level TvP, the Protoss scouts my two rax build, and for some stupid reason, decides that as a result of scouting a build order clearly designed for a rush/timing push, he FAST EXPANDS off three dragoons.

Likewise, in TvZ, I now do a mech build... except with Valkyries. Apparently, you counter Valkyries these days by using stacked mutalisks. I wasn't too sure when this happened but okay. Also apparently, mines only do 10 damage to lurkers, so its okay to walk 8 of your goddamn lurkers (which you shouldnt be building against mech in the first place) into a minefield with an overlord in the middle.
D level is really fucked up me thinks -_-
on a side note would someone like to teach me how to micro mnm vs lurks?

Those strange occurrences are not an anomaly in ICCUP but rather a reflection of both your 1337 gosu skillz and your mad sexiness.

D level is really fucked up, there is such a high skill difference throughout the day. At a certain time of the day I get raped by 250+ apm Koreans, and the other times I usualy win against opponents that don't really seem to know what they are doing.

yeah that happened to me too
fortuantely one of them decided to go 14cc against my 2 fact vult
even with twice my apm it was impossible to do anything

I think he realizes that and just meant it's much better in general, which I assume it is. Not that I am pro at taking down lurkers without psi storm + goon range.

Generally (at least when I see pros going for a sunken break or slamming lurkers) they stim and then let medics heal the rines up a bit. There was that thread about stim duration that mentioned it lasts about 11-12 seconds, so I think that's enough.

Then you are fucked and should run away.
No, you should either have science vessels or tanks by then. Tanks outrange Lurkers even when not sieged, so as long as you have comsat and/or science vessels you will be fine. The only part you have to pay attention to is to cover your tanks when they are sieged with your rines - Z players will be waiting for you to siege your tanks up in a clump and they'll run lings in to take them out or try to snipe them with mutas.
To clarify, tanks are 'the' counter to lurkers.

Get as much ground as possible before he attacks with his lurkers, preferrably stand at his choke. When he moves in against you stim, and back out before his lurkers can shoot you. Most of the time you get a lot of ling kills and his lurkers survive, but thats ok because he has to remake the lings to move on, or he will lose his lurkers one after another while you back out when they are burrowed.
Done right this will give you enough time to get some tanks and a vessel.
In this situation +1 weapon is a lot more useful, since you should avoid getting hit anyway

This is a big deal - if he catches you sitting at your expo with a big clump of rines, you will get raped. He can just slowly leapfrog his lurkers forward and you'll be forced to withdraw into your main.

You should post reps of those games. I love games with someone owning the opponent in a mocking way.
Personally I do 3rax all marine in TvP on D. Usually I first get "LOL" then "wft" and finally "gg". Helps if it is a "real" D or D- player or else I'm the one who gets kicked in the junk.
EDIT:Oh and I'm a zerg player and T is my weakest race.
