Yup. For the most part, if you see a Mario stage you dont recognize, its likely to be one of many Mario hacks (thats what they call custom edits) out there, such as Asshole Mario.

Man, I really love video game music. what's the music at:

4:29 (sounds like some japanese song like maybe by utada hikaru or something?)
and
4:54 (definitely a video game some that was transcribed for this. it was only the main melody before it got morphed out of recognition.)
