Gah! I have a competency test tomrw(EE majors)

I don't remember most of it because I haven't taken it in years, was wondering if some people can just give me some hints on starting this. The following is an exam from last year the prof. said, someone please help. I want to study for this. http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgjfrccn_7gg692jxb 1. For number one, I know there is one OR gate and 2 XOR(?) gate, how does one combine it, I really really don't remember. 2. Basically following number 1, following this website: http://www.play-hookey.com/digital/basic_gates.html I can tell that all of it is (+) right? I just want to start with 1 & 2 so I can relearn it, I'll work on the rest in a bit. Thanks in advance.

Raithed China7078 Posts April 14 2008 21:32 GMT #2 Alright, further reading on some other sites and dug up the textbook, it's not a XOR gate, it's an OR gate with 2 not's. Oh man, grr.

Daveed United States236 Posts April 15 2008 00:28 GMT #4 For the first one, just check it. The Not's after the first two gates cancel out with the not's at the input of the rightmost gate. So all four of those NOT's get killed, and it's just OR gates, with the two NOT's at the top two inputs. So it's (A'+B')+ (B+C)
