Basically its a Build Order manager software. You would have the option to analyze BOs, make blueprints for your own BOs, see graphs of Army Strenght with different Expo timings. You would be able to tell the program what amount of units you want at a specific time (after analyzing your enemie's BO) and it would tell you the optimal BO for that, perhaps with the option to make the late game possible, or to make it allin. If this sounds interesting, i'll be glad to try to remember more stuff about this. EDIT: ofc this is probly more complex than you wanted, coz it would probably mean you would need to make the entire software, user interface and all. | ||

for bwl, I'd like all the old plugins from penguin. rwt, fprep, obsmode, apm live, etc. the only thing that penguin didn't have is, obsmode with fp - that would be immense, especially for learning how to play by watching the players move their mouse while playing. other than that... hmm. 1. add the option to turn off F1 - it's VERY annoying. 2. rep slot maker? xD (old stuff) 3. a plugin that shows you apm and stuff while browsing your rep folder in sc. (I think someone was working on this already) 4. something that tests for lat and lag. if it's possible, make it show players who lag in the lobby. 5. make an alert sound. while alt-tabbing, when someone whispers you with ALERT!, the plugin plays a sound, so you know you're needed. 6. anti flood for channels. 7. add a paste option for game lobbies/ingame. so I can spam 1a2a3a4a5a6a7a8a9a0a twice as fast as my opponent does. xD or make an option so we can assign some key combination to write some predetermined text. will think of more... | ||

I believe there's already a BWL plugin that does that, look for it 3. I think the AdvLoader people made something like that but that was a few patches ago. Would be an interesting project. 4. Dunno if lobby testing would be possible, and I imagine the most you could really do to test for lag is ping the individual players and display that info within SC. 5. See 7. 6. See 7 7. I imagine the best way to handle all 3 of these would be to make a plugin thats scriptable, so you can basically make a bot-type interface within SC, along with it having access to some other functionality like playing sounds. Would be an interesting project to say the least. Anyway, for the moment, I'm going to be working on RWA functionality. You're going to have to bear with me on that though, as my knowledge of replay formatting is abysmal and JCA's replay library sources are like not documented at all ![]() After I get done with RWA's, I might attempt FPreps. The only reason I'm not picking that up right now is because its a really huge undertaking. Once FPrep is done, FPobs is only a few steps away, and I think that'd be pretty cool as well. Oh, and I'll also be making all this stuff open-source, so it should be easier for future developers to work all this out ![]() | ||

23 yeah 4 yeah that's somewhat what I meant. 567yeah, those last 3 need bot like knowledge. if I remember, the fp stuff was made by messing around with team melee optiones, right? a real ingame APM live would be a lot easier to do I think, and it would help a lot of people. all those apm counters that we have nowadays just count your global keyboard/mouse press, not the actual in-game actiones, so the resulting apm is often too big and off, and you have to reset it, it counts the ingame msging as actiones and other funny stuff. good luck with rwa! that stuff was nice back then. | ||

Well, it used to count other actions as well, but ever since I added APMLive functionality, its only counted correct stuff. As for the APM being too static, all it does atm is total the amount of actions so far and divide them by the total game time. I think what would be a better way is to use a window of the last 2 or so minutes to calculate it, that way it fluctuates (and would be more indicative of the value of the line in BWChart at that point). | ||

I just have very little knowledge of replays and maps in general (although thats not ruling out the possibility of figuring it out). I'm working on RWA stuff right now, but I definitely wouldn't mind future ideas and projects ![]() | ||

hm maybe add an option so the players can choose to see: all game apm average recent apm (last 2 min) current apm (last 5 sec) or a fourth option that makes the apm oscilate about the all game average, but is very affected by the current apm. (this one might be the best, that's probably what you had in mind?) blizz should fix team melee reps, shouldn't be hard. how are RWA reps going? ![]() | ||
