Basically, it seems to work fine, only THE MONITOR WON'T SHOW ANYTHING. The computer makes its usual sounds while starting up but the monitor stays blank.
Is this a resolvable issue? If anybody knows how to fix this it'll be a great help ^^

Edit: Other than that laptops are known for screens dying early or it could be trying to play to an external monitor like other people have said. | ||

@ Micronesia: Doesn't that show the laptop screen regardless? Like those people who use their laptops for presentations and whatnot; their computer seems fine and they're able to send the external TV signals as well. Thanks, alffla. That helps | ||

1) on my Sony Vaio, all of a sudden after a few hours sometimes minutes, boom the screen goes. and other time the same thing you experienced, until my soundcard failed. I looked online for a blueprint for my comp the FS series, and took it apart the ribbon cable was slightly wedged out of the port. i plugged it in it worked!!! 2)FN key plus +F7 if that doesnt work some manufatures make diffrent hotkeys Fn+F6 or F3 | ||
