Well, we all know Dustin Bowder, and his involvement into CnC 3. But I never played any version of CnC (well, I tried CnC 1 after SC, but it was awful), so I didn't really know anything about the recent game. Now I bought myself a new machine and searched wikipedia on the subject to see if it's something worthwhile. But the review I found exceeded the craziest expectations.
Citation:
<<< Scrin forces possess a powerful aerial fleet[14], able of constructing fast "Stormrider" fighters, hovering "Devastator" warships and the versatile "Planetary Assault Carriers", which are capable of generating localized ion storms. The faction also features the ability to create wormholes and to instantly teleport units around the battlefield through various means. {well, here it started to get familiar} The Scrin are additionally able to deploy a large aerial unit known as the "Mothership", which features a massively powerful energy weapon {what the fuck is this???} that can devastate all structures in a large radius beneath it by initiating a chain reaction upon them. Their in-game superweapon is the "rift generator", which creates a rip in space-time in the targeted area, drawing everything near to it into deep space.[15]{speechless} >>>
Citation ended.
Well, I'm abit on emotion, but what the fuck is going on? Is the guy really that stupid?

Now really, replace some names (only names) and here you got:
Protoss forces possess a powerful aerial fleet, able of constructing fast "Warp Ray" fighters, hovering "Tempest" warships and the versatile "Phoenixes", which are capable of generating localized ion storms. The faction also features the ability to create wormholes and to instantly teleport units around the battlefield through various means. The Protoss are additionally able to deploy a large aerial unit known as the "Mothership", which features a massively powerful energy weapon that can devastate all structures in a large radius beneath it by initiating a chain reaction upon them. Their in-game superweapon is the "black hole", which creates a rip in space-time in the targeted area, drawing everything near to it into deep space.
I'm afraid.

I was talking with this random guy down the pub and he said he was entirely sure that Starcraft 2 actually got sent back in time and Command and Conquer 3 was actually based on Starcraft 2. See, when Starcraft 2 was releasted the CnC series was utterly defeated and simply died. Thus Westwood employed Einstein to go back in time and make the only game that could rival Starcraft 2, an exact copy of Starcraft 2. Not just similar but actually the same game, with the same packaging and everything. See, on the old timeline they planned to call Starcraft 2 Tiberium Wars (which is of course now copywrited). Anyway, you heard it here first. CnC 3 is based on Starcraft 2.

Einstein is dead, so to employ him they needed to get him from the past which is impossible because you need Einstein to get Einsten back.

Lol, conspiracy theories ftw!
But, that is kind of scary. I don't trust this Bowder fella, he seems evil in some way, like he wants to fuck up SC and everthing that we love about it.
Maybe Bowder is anti-christ!? OMGOMOG MGOM

Browder has nothing to do with CnC 3 and you can find similarities with any other SciFi game.

the mothership is retarded in cnc3. Its basically an I WIN button, you capture an enemy building using their commando, spawn a building that allows you to use the mothership power and you can then immediately get the mothership and clear a base

Say to someone how one has worked on C&C and they will eventually find similarities with C&C in all his works I bet would Bill Roper still there, in Blizzard, everyone would find ripoffs from wc3 despite what he did to starcraft
BluzMan, Dustin Browder was lead designer of C&C:RA2 and C&C:Generals. Both games are almost nothing to do with C&C, except pace of gameplay and "C&C" in the name

Oh, well, I stand corrected for Dustin Bowder. Sorry if I offended someone.
But that still doesn't cancel that text piece which is straight ridiculous.

Which unit in SC:BW is original anyway? They are all ideas from other games/movies/comics/whatever, you can't really be original when thousands of ideas have already been thought up, it is bound your ideas will be similar to someone else's no matter if you didn't even know about them.

Well, no, I surely understand that there's nothing that is completely inventive. But what killed me was the total resemblance between the text and the announced SC2 info. I'm actually optimistic about SC2, it just takes some patience to wait till they finish experimenting with some stupid stuff like giant battle robots, soul hunters and your-father-ships, realize that this pop crap doesnt work and start doing the real StarCraft. This blog entry is only about the wikipedia article and it's a blog because it's a rant.
