I found out recently I have a case of Blepharitis, which is basically a mild inflammation of the lid surrounding your eye. Specifically, I believe my case is Posterior Blepharitis. Wikipedia has a quick summary of the condition at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blepharitis

Normally I don't even notice this, which is why it has gone undetected for so many years. I'm trying out contact lenses and the doctor discovered it and said it could make the contacts less comfortable. He outlined a basic hygienic routine to reduce the symptoms that is similar to what wikipedia's article suggests.

I'm curious if anyone else has any experience with this. Apparently what I have is highly common, but I've never heard of it before recently.

To be honest, it doesn't sound like a real word.

I've heard of this; rare among my friends, but I'm pretty sure at least a couple of them have it (they also heard about it after getting contacts). I didn't know it had a name. They've always referred to it as "eye problems".

For those of you who don't know what this is.
Did the doctor recommend treatment or did he just tell you that you have it? From the pictures on google and the information I read about it, it's hard to not notice.

He said I normally don't even show symptoms of it, but it will probably become noticeable if I wear contacts. He admitted he himself would probably be too lazy to treat it if he was in my shoes. It is not apparent for me like it is in your example picture.

And no, I can't "get better" lol. It's also not from too much computer use, it's natural I believe.
