The question. Bryan McKnight or the Spice Girls?
There's "Back at One", which is a lot slower with not as much harmony, but it would be fun to do vocally and we don't need to sacrifice a voice for voal percussion. There's background music that we can emulate easily with 4 backup voice.
Then there's "Stop Right Now" by the Spice Girls, which has a groovy sort of upbeat feel to it. I'm just worried that this song will make people sick as opposed to Bryan McKnight, whom I hear rarely but surely on the radio. The Spice Girls are also getting back together, adding a whole new novelty to the song.
For those who know voice, we're SATBB (2 girls 3 guys).
I'm not going to put a poll on, since I want some solid feedback in the form of comments instead.
In other news... our CD came out, and we also managed to open for the Alberta Ballet year end show, quite a feat for a group that's only been together for 3 months.
Musically speaking, I've "decided" to take a double major in music (the first being Mech. Eng.), and eventually a Master's in either Harmony or Choral conducting. I really feel that although I'm good at logic/math/enginerring, I don't really think I'll enjoy it as a full time job, and I'd really rather do some music work on the side.
Thoughts, ideas? And if you know of any songs closely related to what I'm trying to accomplish (cheesy love songs, boy bands, etc.) go ahead and recommend me some.
This is Mike, signing out.
