I mentioned in previous blogs that I was debating whether to take up casting for the fun of it since I stopped contributing to TL BW staff recently, and seeing as I wholeheartedly believe that BW is a game that is best shared through casting.
So I finally decided to give it a try by starting a new series called "What Would Bigfan Do". The goal is to share replays starting with some of my old ICCup ones from 2012 and move to more recent ones. This would allow me to show some of our new players that BW can be a fun game for all players alike despite your level of play and help me get used to the idea of speaking into the microphone. It's definitely been odd haha.
Once I feel comfortable enough, I can try my hand at casting community reps then eventually pro games seeing as there are expectations when it comes to BW knowledge and I was always a fan of the entertainment it provided rather than getting down to the numbers and timings. Alternatively, I might just approach the games with interest as usual and revel in the excitement that I always feel watching any BW game. Time will tell!
If you're a player who is looking for some high-level information, I'm sorry to disappoint. I'm not an A player, rather I'm probably at 1500 MMR and probably around D+ in old ICCup rank (C- on those rare good games when I actually macro well, only for TvZ though). However, if you're someone who's just looking to watch some funny or bizzare games with some advice and tips here and there, you'll probably like the casts. I'm still trying to work out a lot of things and deciding on the best approach as well as choosing the best games to cast so feedback is always appreciated and welcomed.

Honestly we cheese each other from time to time, and I think it's a legitimate way to play the game even with friends, otherwise we'd go for a nex/cc first "econ cheese" every game because there's no risk of 4pool/bbs cheese.
Also the percentage of cheese games shoots up when we are offracing, and I think we are both aware of it and expect it.

I'm trying to clarify that that's not what happened. In the game he casted in the OP with EsportsJohn, I was explaining forge FE or how some pros will do a risky nexus first because we just finished playing a ZvP before which you lost and were telling me you were rusty or something. Of course, I probably was hoping that he'll do something risky and I was also being chatty due to my 4 pool, but that's part of the game ~

lol L2P then if you lose a forge FE to 4 pool cross spawns! :D Add on the fact that you've watched pro games too and you used to main Protoss and you tell me that you need me to instruct you on how well to do a forge FE opening which is like the simplest most common opening in PvZ? please ~

6th episode is up! On roadrunner, I played one of my best macro games to date while showing how an aggressive expanding Terran can actually do well against an unprepared Zerg. What do you guys think of my macro? Pretty impressive for a D player, no?
I decided to try my hand at casting some pro games seeing as there was no english cast and I'm just a D player. Of course, it just had to be a FvJ series haha. Had some pauses here and there to collect my thoughts or wait to see what goes down. Probably a couple of silly mistakes too due to speed (said exp a drone earlier, but kinda corrected it). Feedback is welcome!

hehe well, I found out later that they hold view count until the algorithm or w/e makes sure someone isn't botting and such to raise it so things worked out in the end. Thanks for your concern!

Thanks dave. I love the community too much to leave. Thanks for the sub <3 If you're short on time, the shorter episodes might be easier to watch then since I pick really bizzare games to comment on and they are all short for the most part.
Only saw this now. Ya, I've gotten busy since my last episode. It would be nice to make more though I'll have to search my reps for some truly bizzare games. Also, there wasn't a ton of interest from what I saw.
