Tempest99 53 Posts March 24 2018 07:13 GMT #1 For those who have already seen Donnie Darko, this probably won't be a surprise. I don't expect anyone else to read this blog. I re-watched one of the old clips everyone enjoyed: Quite an interesting piece. I assume we still allow YouTube video samples for discussion. The interesting aspect of the piece is the nature of the "Fear---Love" spectrum. You get the idea that Donnie sees the professor as a Terrorist rather than a professor. There are quite a few other elements in the movie that echo Donnie's perspective in this scene. Although, I daresay the modern Gyllenhaal does not have the immediate attention span of this study.

Ultimately I think the whole action arose from fear of dying, which looks alot like love of money. Only gave the wallet back because it's incriminating. Took money because it resolves her fear of not having status amonst monkeys
