It gave me the courage to start my blog here on TL.
I love Overwatch. I love it more than Starcraft 2. Blasphemy!
I still love SC2, but I can't get myself back into the game. I am just an avid fan that watches on Twitch.
But OW, is a game I love watching and playing. It's a game that's rather simple to play, but incredibly difficult to master. Even heroes with difficult mechanics can be learned within a few weeks.
Mastering Overwatch is not a matter of being a god with a select few heroes, nor is it being a jack of trades with all heroes. It's a matter of communication, like everything else in life. Overwatch has taught me how to communicate better with others. I am using this to make friends and try to create a team.
I am trying to 'git gud', and in many ways, I am succeeding. I can use Orisa, Mercy, Soldier, and am learning Doomfist, Reinhardt, and Pharah.
As my blog title suggests, I want to go pro and build a team. This is not a stealth recruitment blog, but if anyone wants to discuss team building topics, hit me up a PM on TL.
So, this blog post, and successive ones after, will all be about my journey of going pro and building a team.
To open this blog, I've approached many small and medium businesses within Toronto about sponsorship and partnerships. I am planning on approaching more in the coming months. If I do manage to land a big sponsor/partner, I will update my blog posts, unless I am under a NDA.
I have a digital marketing strategy to promote the team too. A website will be created once everything is more concrete.
What I lack right now is a team, but I have approached many players in-game. Nothing solid, but I will keep looking for players.
I think I can make this a success, but it's starting very slow.
If anyone has questions/suggestions, please feel free to ask them below. If a reply takes too much to write, I will probably put it in my next blog post and let you know. I'll try to respond to all questions.
Thanks for reading so far!
