Are we not curious creatures - for we would rather believe the loving and gentle self we show most of the time is a mask while the ugly and nasty self that only rarely shows itself is our true nature instead of the other way round?   | ||

Who never shows where anyone can see them? Who lifes in the dirt and hides in the shadows? Who neither blossoms nor scents? Is it a dubious thing? Who bonds a living thing with its surroundings? Who makes it their sole purpose to nourish and imbue the greater good? Who does all that yet they never claim the deed as theirs? Is it a noble thing? A leaf holds beauty without a doubt. But who is to judge the beauty of the roots? What would we be without our roots, indeed? | ||
