Here we go.
I've always been quite curious to see how a normal online society would react to such a distanced & distinguishable ideology. What I'm about to share in this thread is an ideology I happened to stumble upon a few months ago. It's a blossoming ideology originally formed in an anonymous message site.
Some of you know what I'm talking about. Others have no clue.
We are of course talking about the Beta Uprising.
What is the Beta Uprising you may ask? Here is a brief explanation I found from an URL whose name shall not be linked. This should help clear up questions.
"The beta uprising began as a conceptual idea to revolt against western society for the emotional grievances suffered by beta males who are ostracized and neglected by women. Beta males are a neglected minority of young adult men who have no sexual or relationship experience with women. Perceiving their lack of experience as an active effort by society to deny them a normal life, beta males in the far outreaches of the internet began spreading the idea of a violent revenge against people who lead normal lives and have had sexual experiences. In particular, beta males seek reparations from alpha males who hoard multiple sexual partners and reduce beta males’ chances of obtaining a partner, and women who deem them unfit as partners"
"The uprising materialized into a real life conflict when the late Elliot Rodgers massacred six people in Isla Vista, California in what became known as Elliot Rodger’s Retribution. Rodgers terminated two sorority girls who were affiliated with the group of women that have neglected beta males, effectively declaring the beginning of the beta uprising"
"Rodgers wrote an autobiographical manuscript detailing the same grievances posed by other beta males, but he never mentioned or alluded to the beta uprising. The beta uprising was unknown to the media until Christopher Harper-Mercer committed a killing spree at Umpqua Community College a day after announcing his intentions in the /r9k/ (ar-nine-kay) online community, the intellectual godfather of the beta uprising"
"The beta uprising is a ongoing conflict between western society and embittered beta males who have taken arms. Most beta males are afraid to take action and remain reclusive. Elliot Rodgers and Christopher Harper-Mercer are thus far the only beta males who have taken concrete action towards the reparations sought by the beta uprising movement. Unless the core demand of the movement is met–the human need for a partner–It is still possible that other young men will follow the footsteps of Rodgers and Harper-Mercer"
This is a brief explanation of what we're dealing with. Personally I think it's bullshit but the idea of sharing this was too tempting as I've wanted a "Normal" persons opinion on this.
I might also add that it's quite intriguing how people find eachother & create rogue internet societies like this. It kind of speaks something about the power of anonymity.
