Hey guys, hope you are all doing well, lots of terrible things happened recently.
Was gonna be a short review but I guess I got too into reviewing it. My model is a silver, with brown strap, 42mm model.
The cool things: 1. Wireless charging is impressive, pretty quick and it serves as a desk clock.
2. Information at your wrist: I love information and this is why I love google now cards. They show things that matter, the weather, the travel time. (I haven't tried but on android, it will shows the sites nearby, the currency conversation rate etc if you are travelling) Imagine that on your watch. .
3. Doing task You can now even arranging schedules pretty easily by speaking to your watch or plan it on your phone beforehand and it will automatically sync up. You can reply to messages by google voice command (facebook chat, whatsapp, hangout etc) There are template messages you can sent out as well (sadly it doesn't have it for every chat app) and for hangout, you can even DRAW emoticon and it will list out the one you want to sent out.
4. Watchface customisation This is probably why you would want to get a smart watch. Yes, all the above is cool and all but don't lie to yourself, watch face is why you want this thing. Whether you are nerdy, or business focused or artistic etc, there is going to be some watchfaces for you. You can change and swap any time you want.
The Neutral: 1. Size For a smaller wrist like mine, the watch is pretty big. I have another big watch but it doesn't feel as big. The reason is the watch face. The watch face on the moto360 is huge, it takes up so much of the surface area. Of cause you may think it is a good thing, easier to use and read etc. But this makes the design less elegant. I personally think the huawei watch looks slightly better.
2. Weight It's light. Someone may like it, someone may not. For a watch of this size, weight is kinda like an indication how premium the watch is. Let's just say electronic components are far too light compared to mechanical watches.
3. Price I got it overpriced, mostly because I was in a hurry to grab a new watch. The retail price imo is worth it. But you would be surprised at how much the weight would make you think about this price tag.
The Bad 1. A lot of reliance on google voice command. This is certainly understandable, having a keyboard on your watch is going to be silly, the next best thing is going to be voice command. Problem is that it is slow and doesn't always work well. The way it works now for replying message is: You click reply -> you speak out the message -> google try to type out what you said -> auto sent out in one second, you can cancel it if it is wrong. So a lot of this experience relies on the accuracy of the voice command, otherwise you are better off replying later on your phone.
2. Over connected. This contradicts with my 2nd point at the good things. I have my work email sync up on my phone and it is also sync on my watch. Now add the social notification such as chat, your watch is going to buzz quite often. For example I just broke up with my gf and I didn't want to check my messages, bam my watch buzz and there was her message (true story)
3. The water proof. It works. But it renders pretty much the smartwatch functionality to zero. Voice command cannot hear your voice clearly anymore. There is no touch control at all. The only thing that works is the watch function. which is fine.
4. The "power saving" watch face. For those who don't know, to save battery, the nice looking watch face is actually not rendered all the time. It has a "secondary" watch face which some are terrible looking and some are just simply black and watch digits. The watch will detect if you flip up the watch and it will render the pretty watchface automatically (or you can press the physical button), but there is some time lag in between. If you are hoping for some random strangers on the street noticing your cool watch, give up that hope.
Score for me: 7.5/10
Personally I feel a little bit surprised at how good it is and also disappointed at some of the flaws. You will clearly feel this is still a work in progress development, a young platform that shows a lot of promises. I believe it will take a few years minimal to really mature, when the battery life can last longer (it is actually ok for me, but I am looking forward to the day of not needing a power saving watch face), and when the voice command is more accurate.
the heart rate measuring thing looks functional, I tried to run around and compare it to my rest mode, it looks like it can at least reading the increase in heart rate.
It is a really interesting territory, where watch traditionally is dominated by nothing by fashion focused. I don't see smart watch taking much market from the traditional luxury brands yet (mostly because the mechanical design is just elegant and complex, it can never be replaced by a digital display replicate) but it might take up market from brands like G-shock.
Very cool and exciting future indeed!

I don't have twitter so I can't say what the experience would be like.
After another day of use, I see another advantage is that you no longer need to pick up your phone to check out what message it was.
You look at your watch and the message is there. Doesn't sound very different than picking out your phone from pocket but it does.
You can do a quick message reply back either by using voice command or sent a emoticon or just ignore it by using a wrist gesture to hide it. Whereas if you read the message on the phone, most of the time you want to just reply it to get it over with.
Pretty cool experience overall.

yeah seems interesting twitter is basically text messaging or 1-line-blogging but for celebs so you will get a "thought of the day" from incontrol, day9, adam koebal, jp, tb, dota players etc every few hours
i mean i don't use twitter but i can imagine it would be fun to have on your arm like that no1 ever sends me text messages coz i got no friends
reflecting on my past occupations, it would actually be awesome to have twitter on your watch in minimum wage jobs like hoovering jobs where you spend 8 hours hoovering/cleaning and could just look at your watch to occupy your mind with your twitter buddies. except i wouldn't be surprised if there was 0 connectivity signal at many workplaces

Thanks for the review. I want one of these, but my standards are bascially -Circular display (which the Moto360 has) -No weird bottom bezel like the 360's -Always shows the time. -Adequate battery life, preferably at least 2 days with use -Customizable notifications
Also water proof is so it doesn't die under water, not so it works under water

I follow the pro CS scene and I get a lot of behind the scenes info from there. Lots of fucking memes though...

Checkout the Samsung Gear 2. Circular like the Moto360 but smaller. the functionality and controls are very different due to the rotating bezel that acts as a selector. prettey neat application tbh. Doesn't use android wear software though so im not sure how the user interface will turn out. I have the 360 which uses android wear software. you dont really notice the "flat tire" in everyday use to be honest. most device batteries are hovering at the 1.5-2 day range with the exception of the pebble, which is also releasing a round version soon (or it already dropped).
