Yeah reusing oil is definitely not healthy (or safe? not sure about that), that being said I have lots of black friends from the south and their moms would just reuse that shit over and over, so who knows | ||

Do you dip in buttermilk first then try to get a really thick coating? i just add water, i mix my batter with garlic salt and kfc powder instead of flour (can get that from any groceries). the kfc or any frying powder gives it that crunch and golden look. re-using oil isn't that great, but i use large amounts every time, i don't see a problem given places like fish and chips are constantly frying stuff in the same oil over a regular period of time | ||

I'm surprised so many people fry at home I'm quite the home cook myself but some things I just don't see the point of doing.. deep frying at home is one of them | ||
