The below game is the one that followed immediately after. Here's a reminder of who's playing besides me.
My companions in this game are as followed:
Vetharest: Silver league 1v1 (Roughly a 2-10 record across two seasons, so take it with a grain of salt). Likes to make blink stalkers, oracles, and DTs if possible, but will actually pick a reasonable unit composition most of the time when he needs to.
Dog: Unranked 1v1. Probably a little better than Vetharest. Likes to upgrade his units early (to the point of a 4 minute double engineering bay off one base). Typical late-game composition generally consists of thors + some bio, but can mix it up a little bit.
TimeTraveler: Well... you'll see ;;

+ Show Spoiler [Part 1] +
TimeTraveler decided to open with a 10 pool. This wasn't with the intent of any early rush or anything; he just didn't realize he needed more than ten drones to play economically. However, his initial six zerglings did a surprising amount of damage by killing two marines and an SCV.
Here, we see his special tactic of moving drones to his extractor long before it finishes. This is simply an exchange of mineral mining time for gas mining time that might as well be worth it. Keep in mind that he's not really doing anything else, and selecting three drones to mine gas can take a while.
However, an enemy barracks flies to his base in an attempt to wreak havoc on his brain. Floating your barracks is often enough to convince someone you are going fast air, but what if you aren't? What if you're tricking your opponent and building five barracks at home instead? These are things one must consider when banking 1k minerals on one base and producing slow zerglings. Green, who floated the barracks, proclaimed that he could see everything, which was another psychological attack. However, an interrogation on how many fingers I was holding up proved that he didn't actually know everything he could see.
Somehow, he tricked TimeTraveler into not doing anything at all until the banshee arrived. TimeTraveler not only lost all of his drones, but freaked out and claimed he had no money shortly afterwards (he had about 2k).
We're going to shift our attention to the opponents for a second, since TimeTraveler is pretty dead and all of his allies are super boring and making real units. As we can see, the orange opponent is a true Protoss warrior; we can determine this by noting that he is attempting to rebuild the protoss armada. If he does so, the golden fleet will absolutely destroy everything in existence that is bad. This includes the Zerg, so we may have a problem.
Meanwhile, pink is trying to summon an old demon of mine by making infinity widow mines and arranging them in haunting and demonic patterns.
Also note that Orange and I have almost nothing but workers. This game will clearly be a macro game unless either team decides to attack in the next five minutes. However, pink's evil widow mine rituals actually give him enough units to potentially 1v4 our team if he decided to go for a full-on attack. His evil ways demanded a sturdy, defensive positioning of mines, fortunately, and no attack without these mines could do too much harm.
Here, we see green building a bunch of command centers for no reason besides that he has a lot of minerals. This is what you get for bothering to control your banshees.
Pink decides to harass me with his banshees. Unfortunately, since I have been making nothing but drones, I don't have spore crawlers and I lose a lot of my hard work. Pink, having to micro, also floats about 2000 minerals as soon as he deviates from very normal, standard play, and he will have to spend his money soon.
Two bases, for some reason, can almost support four stargates making carriers despite a lack of bad macro. Even Orange, however, is floating a surprising amount of money. Meanwhile, yellow (Terran) is also going mech without a mineral sink. What will they do with all this money?
Green secures an expansion and spends all of his hard-earned minerals on missile turrets. I'd like to note that the shape of his missile turrets forms a near-heart. Could this be a subtle Valentine's day invitation (This game was played in early January)? If so, which player was it directed to?
I attempt to threaten this base with mutalisks, but the Protoss armada has arrived.
Green's next expansion, however, is vulnerable. Since this particular base is in the center of the map, the mapmakers decided to make it super aesthetically awesome and gold. This would make the incredible risk of Green securing that expansion early worth it by pleasuring his eyes, but my Zerg force is really ugly and ruined Green's eyesight to the point that he had to get glasses. This made building his expansion harder since he couldn't quite see what he was doing.
By the time we break the carrier defense, however, we discover that there isn't any base there at all. The carriers were part of an elaborate illusion that forced us to trade units for interceptors, which are the most free units in the game according to First.
Meanwhile, banshees casually destroyed my third base and forced me to long distance mine for a while.
We haven't noticed TimeTraveler in a while. Here, we see him brilliantly researching neural parasite because mind control is easily the most overpowered spell in the game and completely goes against the definition of an RTS. No, don't argue. Neural parasite clearly dumbs down the game and makes it boring since it's basically.
TimeTraveler's next move is to demand Dog to scan a random spot on the map so that he can place a nydus worm. Clearly, overlords are not enough of a luxury for him to afford with 3k minerals in the bank. This nydus worm is critical for sending the seven speed-upgraded zerglings halfway across the map.
According to this resource collection rates graph, I have been a punching bag the entire game. A direct result of carrying is taking a majority of the damage, and I have definitely been successful in doing so. Meanwhile, I am trying to build up a corrupter army to challenge the skies. It just might work.
Here, we see a brilliant special tactic by Orange. By making as many cannons as physically possible, it is statistically unlikely than any given army will be able to break it. If you don't believe me, try arbitrarily producing a force using a special random army generator. They're weaker than they look.
Pink decides to get a bunch of command centers to fuel production of his demonic widow mines.
Next is the landed viking harass, which is extremely strong against my air army and eventual mass zerglings. By doing this, he hopes to out-maneuver me with his obviously superior force. How could it not be superior when he has the full support of evil and mines? Even so, he should be careful. His bank will only allow him to make 40 vikings should he lose these.
They kill the expansion before stalkers and corrupters arrive. I'd like to note that Vetharest has the best possible army to deal with vikings and widow mines, minus maybe a few oracles.
We now observe the endless special tactics of TimeTraveler. He runs a zergling across the map in order to plant a nydus worm for the rest of his zerglings (and infestors)! By doing so, he delays his attack in order to make sure his retreat is easier.
Then he runs all of these units into siege tanks and kills 0 units.
Pink's evil knows no bounds. If you carefully examine his widow mine formation, you can see several constellations. He is clearly shooting for the stars with this strategy, and it just might be enough to defeat everyone since everyone in this game sucks at micro.
Vetharest has more stalkers than probes, so he decides it's a good idea to do something with them.
This stalker ball is not randomly generated, so cannons are not enough to stand up to it.
Speaking of TimeTraveler, he has unleashed his own evil, in the form of swarm hosts. He is not even bronze level and even he can rally swarm hosts into planetary fortresses. Clearly, he is particularly adept at using these siege units.
I show up to help, and here Orange makes a critical error by recalling his carriers. If he had sent them instead of going through the delayed process of recalling them, waiting for them to teleport, and waiting until the recall finished, he might have gotten there faster.
Evil does not show up in time to save the Protoss armada.
When it does arrive, however, the pure force of evil cleans up an entire stalker deathball as well as some Terran units.
Dog realizes that we just killed pink's widow mine army, meaning we pretty much just won the game, so he goes for an attack by himself against all of the opponents. He has actually been uncontested on four bases as a result of TimeTraveler never expanding, so he has plenty of economy to work with.
Orange's devastating carrier loss drove him to madness. Upon realizing his foolishness in attempting to defend his base, he could no longer understand the meaning of existence in this game.
Meanwhile, Pink has been so busy being evil that he forgot to use his five extra command centers.
Presently, the team supplies are 430 to 427 in our favor. Additionally, the army values paint a picture of a still-even game, as our team has a value of 11450 minerals and 6350 gas versus 10250 minerals and 6725 gas. However, since evil is worth 100 supply by itself, the opposing team is clearly ahead.
The trio of terrans terrorizing our team try to team up to terminate our base. They have tanks, thors, and extremely evil widow mines. Their attack is initially successful, because we decided to all defend at different times.
My corrupter army is useless, so I bunch it up in order to... raise morale. Vetharest is slowly developing a hatred for widow mines as he loses a lot more gateway units this time.
I decide to research baneling speed in response to the tanks and widow mines.
My next move is to secure a gold base right next to a collection of majestic-looking stalkers triumphantly looking into the sunset on the west side of the map.
Those stalkers quickly got bored and decided to go SCV hunting. They got more SCVs than they bargained for!
Fortunately, blink is an amazing ability to have when SCV hunting. This allows the stalkers to teleport away from the SCVs, which confuses them greatly. Later, the stalkers might sneak up on an SCV and push it over for entertainment, but they seem content to have a good old shootout.
Evil gets in the way, but stalkers blink away from them just in time due to excellent micro.
Although Orange has left, his spirit remains. He has one mineral, which is apparently enough to make as many cannons as he desires.
TimeTraveler has only zerglings, which are obviously not fast enough to run across the map, so when our team moves out again he puts them in a magical teleportation tunnel. However, I estimate that this requires three actions instead of two, which means that he will need to use 15% of his APM instead of 10%. This could have devastating consequences concerning his macro.
Suddenly, he unloads his nydus worm to reveal that it was not zerglings in the nydus worm, but hydralisks. He fooled us all!
Despite having as many widow mines as workers, Pink is having trouble dealing with the blink harassment of Vetharest. Clearly, his blink micro has increased exponentially due to his constant dodging of SCVs and widow mines.
The huge corrupter/brood lord army I have built up reminds me of the fun I had playing brood war eight years ago. Back then, I would build up guardians and devourers before losing to literally nothing but science vessels. I played some very strange games, looking back on my experience in the game.

If you don't see the pattern of widow mines being formed, you are probably not a member of the most evil of cults.
Here, we see green building a bunch of command centers for no reason besides that he has a lot of minerals. This is what you get for bothering to control your banshees.
Why would you do such a horrible, unspeakable thing as micro?
Pink decides to harass me with his banshees. Unfortunately, since I have been making nothing but drones, I don't have spore crawlers and I lose a lot of my hard work. Pink, having to micro, also floats about 2000 minerals as soon as he deviates from very normal, standard play, and he will have to spend his money soon.

The answer is apparently "make more carriers".
Green secures an expansion and spends all of his hard-earned minerals on missile turrets. I'd like to note that the shape of his missile turrets forms a near-heart. Could this be a subtle Valentine's day invitation (This game was played in early January)? If so, which player was it directed to?

Get Protossed!

Long distance mining is for peasants and The_Templar.

Darn you Vetharest, and your 450 resources lost.

If you don't believe me, try arbitrarily producing a force using a special random army generator. They're weaker than they look.
If this isn't enough to convince you, add the carriers in and consider that a lot of units don't shoot up.
Pink decides to get a bunch of command centers to fuel production of his demonic widow mines.
He might even use them!
Next is the landed viking harass, which is extremely strong against my air army and eventual mass zerglings. By doing this, he hopes to out-maneuver me with his obviously superior force. But will it be enough?
+ Show Spoiler [Part 2] +
Remember Orange? Remember how he embodied the spirit of a Protoss champion by rebuilding the golden armada? Remember his carriers, his legacy? We might as well have started saying En Taro Orange, but a certain evil presence on his team decided to use his holy stargates for additional evil.
A scary mech army makes its way to our bases. Green and Yellow embrace the power of mass tanks and thors. They are true mech warriors unlike pink.
Vetharest sees this army as another opportunity for blink micro, so he immediately moves to attack the double mech army. This has unforeseen consequences; somehow the stalkers all die to sieged tanks. How could this happen?
Brood lords arrive to clean up the mess, but to my horror void rays show up. Fortunately, I have bad macro so I haven't morphed most of my corrupters into brood lords yet.
The loss of Green's mech army hit him hard. He had prepared extensively for every situation! His missile turrets and tanks should have assured his inevitable victory. Plus, his newest base was extremely pretty, and that should count for something too. The amazing scenery combined with the rumors of vast amounts of gold attracted so many SCVs that many of them died from starvation.
Working conditions, however, were terrible. As you can see, several SCVs were inhumanely stacked on top of each other to make mining as efficient as possible. They weren't even paid, to my knowledge, despite Green's increasing mineral bank. I can't believe that a union hadn't been formed yet, but maybe they were just scared to act against theirdominion player.
As soon as I heard this news, I immediately laid waste to their base with my brood lords.
Haven't seen Pink in a while? He must have done something with his widow mines. Sure enough, Vetharest found his entire third base mined. Fortunately, he somehow managed to make observers, which are not blink stalkers.
Evil, however, is the counter to Protoss. A scan allows Pink to dispose of both observers.
TimeTraveler sees expansions getting threatened and suddenly develops a passion, a desire to see more of the map. Expansions? What?! People make more than one base? TimeTraveler sees this and decides to take his own base. He doesn't want to be threatened, though, so what is he supposed to do?
He sends nydus worms across the map with no units, just so he can be somewhere he hadn't been in many minutes.
In fact, he sends an infestor that would have been a key component of the battle if it had done anything at all.
The infestor soon dies, and corrupters are alone to destroy the void rays and vikings. Suddenly, the evil forces of Pink strike once more.
Vetharest tries to push the issue, but blink stalkers can only do so much.
TimeTraveler develops a booming seven worker economy by using his proxy hatchery to long distance mine from my expansion, which is probably the best income he's had in the last 15 minutes.
Green can see everything!!!
...except for the mobilization of our armies. Here we have the steel of Dog, the powerful fliers of The_Templar, the burrowing specialists of TimeTraveler, and the blink stalkers of Vetharest. Can they finally turn this bloody game into a clear victory?
Four armies may no longer be enough, though. Pink's evil has grown. He is no longer the sinister being he once was, but instead is a dark lord of widow mines.
Meanwhile, we went for the deserted gold base. There were no more working condition problems since everyone died.
Zerglings detain evil, but evil stops for no man. Therefore, these widow mines burrowed, killed the zerglings, and unburrowed with almost no losses in three seconds.
I had to retreat since my economy was being tossed in the gutter. Meanwhile, Vetharest and Dog apparently forgot they had armies since they were both still at the long-deserted gold base.
By the time I made it there, I had flown over a widow mine and my base was dead. It was not a good day for my corrupters.
Good thing that Dog decided to destroy Green's other base instead of helping me. Clearly there was no way I could possibly be in trouble considering I was screaming for help at this point.
Green left out of frustration even though pink had the full forces of evil still at his command. Vetharest tried using blink micro to hit the void rays with widow mines by turning evil against evil but it didn't work out too well.
I use brood lords and zerglings to defend against void rays and widow mines. Nothing can go wrong.
Suddenly Life takes over my keyboard and starts sending packs of zerglings in random directions. They all find widow mines and destroy them to my delight.
One may ask, where is TimeTraveler in all of this chaos? He was busy using swarm hosts and hydralisks to destroy a base that was already mined out and incapable of moving.
The enemy forces once again move out together. Shockingly, it is in fact Yellow who is controlling the void rays! Could he secretly be the mastermind of this evil plot and not Pink? There's almost no money left on the map but Pink is still floating plenty of money, suggesting that he is actually not making the void rays, and Green is no longer in the game.
Upon being discovered, Yellow backs off and we try attacking instead. This does not work well.
Yellow emerges as the sole superpower left in this game. I'm not counting Dog because he actually has workers, which inflates his supply quite a bit. The supplies are now 222 against 294 in their favor, and the army values paint an even more grim picture.
This causes a lot of unrest, since no fights can actually break out at the moment. I can't even expand to my opponent's third base without any peace.
TimeTraveler turns against his team and sends half his forces to destroy my hatchery.
I wonder what happens if you combine those last two images.
We gather up for one final attack but widow mines disrupt this quite a bit.
Somehow, despite having both a tactical and a military disadvantage...
We win? (yellow left shortly after, showing evil being vanquished was much more important)
But, but...
It was probably pink.
A scary mech army makes its way to our bases. Green and Yellow embrace the power of mass tanks and thors. They are true mech warriors unlike pink.
At this point I'm pretty sure pink has no redeeming qualities. Hopefully he isn't reading this.
Vetharest sees this army as another opportunity for blink micro, so he immediately moves to attack the double mech army. This has unforeseen consequences; somehow the stalkers all die to sieged tanks. How could this happen?
You shouldn't blink micro against siege tanks. There are much more mobile things to blink micro against, siege tanks are just boring.
He was probably disappointed that blink was not required to deal with the widow mines.
Evil, however, is the counter to Protoss. A scan allows Pink to dispose of both observers.
Vetharest quickly lost his stalkers and got confused.

I would not be surprised if that was all of his drones.
He sends nydus worms across the map with no units, just so he can be somewhere he hadn't been in many minutes.
BL vs PF, round 12.

The trail of death.

You blinked and missed it.
Technically, we successfully sent 100% of our units to attack, so it worked very well. Unfortunately, all of the units also happened to die.
Yellow emerges as the sole superpower left in this game. I'm not counting Dog because he actually has workers, which inflates his supply quite a bit. The supplies are now 222 against 294 in their favor, and the army values paint an even more grim picture.
I have less supply than Vetharest oh god.
This causes a lot of unrest, since no fights can actually break out at the moment. I can't even expand to my opponent's third base without any peace.
TimeTraveler turns against his team and sends half his forces to destroy my hatchery.
I wonder what happens if you combine those last two images.
Not shown: me killing a drone with brood lords.
We gather up for one final attack but widow mines disrupt this quite a bit.
Somehow, despite having both a tactical and a military disadvantage...
We win? (yellow left shortly after, showing evil being vanquished was much more important)
Wait, what?
But, but...
