At MLG Anaheim, I was on the ultimate quest to become the premiere ESPORTS live events selfie photojournalist. For any aspiring esports selfie photojournalists, I present a list of tips for capturing great selfies at your next esports event to provide the Internet with groundbreaking selfie coverage.
1) Get your champion selfies before championship Sunday.
You might not get the chance if they happen to win it all.
2) Use Snapchat to take your selfie game to the next level
Journalists have to adapt to the times. SnapChat is all the range among the "kids these days".
Don't be a casual, level up your selfies!
3) Always selfie with Suppy
If you went to an ESPORTS event and didn't take a selfie, did the event happen at all?
4) Be sure to pose and capture your "good side".
Pro-tip from Joshy - you need to take a selfie from a higher angle.
Or you just gotta be a natural pro like Jacqueline.
Like Travis, some people have their pose refined after years of practice.
5) Lighting is everything
A great selfie with Incontrol turned dark. Be aware that the lighting at most esports events is terribly dark.
Try to use some of the background lights to your advantage. It helped in taking this selfie with JP!
6) Take group selfies for insane selfie value!
