Hello every back for day 30!!! I did it! I reached 30 days of exercise, ok breaks were taken along the way, things went wrong and I also learnt that I am a horrible streamer but I made it. This will be the last blog for a couple of days as I prepare to take the next step forward.

"Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success." - Napoleon Hill

Fitness Review

This was today's objective:

The final exercise of this program was going be another one of those body weight routines. Although it looked like it would be a relativity easy one it definitely wasn't. This one included push ups and multiple leg exercises furthermore with only a 60 second break in between each routine.

The first one was fairly easy but by the end I was really knackered and that was only after about 8 minutes of exercise. But I know I definitely couldn't have done it so swiftly 30 days ago so progress has been made. Overall a positive end to the program.

General 30 Day Fitness Review

All I can say is wow. I truly have come along way during this short program, it is a shame that I was unable to do 30 straight days as I planned but things came up which couldn't simply be put aside. Looking back really shows how far I have come.

My running times have improved massively my current best 3km time is 16 minutes. Furthermore exercises involving my arms are becoming easier with each day. I also put on quite a bit of weight which was another major goal of mine. At the start I weighed 60kg I now weigh 67-68kg and most of the gain is probably muscle.

However I must say I couldn't have done any of it without the support of you the TL community. Everyday where I would have put off exercise in the past I didn't because I was responsible to you and when things got tough the comments on these blogs always lifted my spirits.

I even reached my most important goal of all which was to inspire others. At least five people have begun to improve themselves as a result of this blog, it really means the world to me to hear that I have actually made a difference to someones life.

For those of you who are interested this is the current state of my body, I couldn't find my before photo but this is me now!

Looking Ahead

These 30 days may be complete but my journey to fitness is far from over, looking ahead I will be looking to continue with new programs. I will decide on my next steps over the next couple of days I may choose to focus purely on my abs for example.

I will be posting a special preliminary blog soon detailing my next steps in terms of fitness and gaming.

My Diet

During this program I haven't been on a diet at all and I have still achieved amazing results. Looking ahead however to speed up my progress I will be starting a diet alongside the new fitness regime. For the time being to cut down on my body fat percentage I will be cutting out all snacks from my diet merely having three solid meals a day.

General 30 Day Gaming Review

Surprising the gaming portion of this program has been the part which I have struggled with motivation the most. My play has been fairly inconsistent in terms of quantity and this of course has some what effected my progress. Despite this however during these 30 or so days of play I have reached top 8 diamond and have begun to break into masters. With correct preparation and practice during the next part I am confident that I will hit masters.

For those of you who are relativity new readers I did start off with Hearthstone being part of this program. My goal of including that particular game was the hope of being able to reach a larger proportion of people however it proved to be the least popular part of the blog and a a result I stopped doing it.

Furthermore as a Magic the Gathering player the game really didn't stimulate me very much. Also concentrating my efforts at trying to make a breakthrough in one community seemed more viable than attempting to break into two communities at once.

Overall I made positive progress in game and I really think my efforts in fitness have aided me with my Starcraft as I truly feel more confident than ever.

Stream Summary

The stream was the part | slacked on the most. With no one to currently help me with graphics my stream quality suffered. I also felt at times due to focusing so much on the game that I wasn't providing good enough educational content for the viewers. When I did stream however I did have a lot of positive reception.

Looking Ahead

Lots of the main issues in terms of quantity of games I would play would usually be due to a lack of a schedule. With finishing up with school the past couple of months have been really mad. Looking ahead I will be creating a proper schedule which will include set time for revision, exercise and practice.

I will also be looking to restart the stream and begin streaming at least four days a week, hopefully with improved content.

Furthermore I am currently looking at the prospect of adding a Magic the Gathering section. The game is something I am really passionate about and it will provide another opportunity to get another community involved.

Alongside deciding on my new fitness plan, I will be sorting out my stream and build orders so I can begin the next stage without the need to worry about anything but the games. The preliminary blog I will be posting soon will go over my play and main goals.

Further Comments

This project has truly taken me on a amazing journey. The support from the community has been incredible and I have attracted support from some really big players/ personalities such as EGSuppy, PiG and Mr Bitter. Waking up every day with comments and messages really helped me move forward looking ahead I am ready to move from strength to strength.

Over 30 or so blogs I have attained close to 9000 views a incredible amount and I am really happy to have a regular following even if they only number in the dozens. Going forward I hope to improve the quality of my blog posts and may further change the format. I will go into everything in more detail during a preliminary blog which will be released in a couple of days.

Until then keep it real everyone thanks for all your support I truly love you all. Ill leave you with this quote:

"Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure."

See you all soon.

Regards,

Jake xxx

Congrats on finishing your program! So many of these self-improvement blogs drop off after a few days, undoubtedly never finishing, and it brought a smile to my face glancing at the blog section to see that you were persevering.

Good luck on whatever else you decide to take on next, be sure to let us know on TL

Congrats dude !
I'm almost done with day3, I ran for 30min and did the lvl 2 exercises.
I have no endurance for running, I was dead after 15min, kept going for 30. Will do the other half this afternoon. But I think I have a problem in the feet because after a while it hurts like hell. I think I have flat feet and bad shoes for running.
The exercises were really easy I found.
My legs hurts a lot still.

I don't know what state you bodies in atm but its important that you don't push yourself to hard. The program is just a starting block for future exercises. If you haven't done much exercise before the program Neila recommends sticking to level 1. I would also recommend investing in running shoes I had the same problem when I started,

Anyway keep it up!

I'm a bit overweight and didn't do sport for more than a year. But I am somewhat muscular so doing push ups is really easy for me (trying the 50 push up challenge over 1 month, I'll probably be able to do it in 2 weeks).
What I lack is practice and stamina so running is a good thing.
But yeah, I'll probably buy running shoes after I finish my finals because it's more painful to run because of my feet than because the lack of endurance...
I think once my body is used to daily exercises, it will be way easier to do more intense training. Curvatures are the real things that hold me up for the moment.
The difference between you and me is that you didn't have the muscles to begin with I think, while I already have them, but too much fat :3

I would like to start the push-up challenge but I don't think my arms are ready for it just yet, need to build some more muscle first. My new regime will include a lot of arm based work so I can really build up some muscle.
