"Even a bad run is better than no run at all" - Lindsey Angel
Fitness Review
This was today's objective:
The days fitness included a whole body routine and a optional run which I decided to complete. I ended up going on the run first and was eager to bring my time down from the last 1.5km run that I had completed in 7.47. I was sure to leave at least one hour after I had lunch before I started the run. Despite pushing myself I ended up finishing the run a whole 18 seconds slower than I had before. This was the first time during the program where I failed to beat a previous running target. I was quite disappointed with myself, next time I will have to keep a closer eye on the clock.
But as Lindsey said " a bad run is better than no run at all".
Next came the routine, the push-up section was the hardest. As regular readers with know I still struggle a lot with push-ups and completing some after already doing some other activity proved really tiring. But I did complete the whole routine four times.
Be sure to check back tomorrow, the days exercise appears to be the most brutal yet. A long run, then some sprints followed by push-ups.... I'm not looking forward to it.
The Days Diet
I am currently not on a diet but will be starting on one soon. This area will go over the days food intake and will include recipes so everyone can start eating better at home!
Starcraft 2 and Stream Review
These were today's objectives:
1. Improve overlord positioning in ZvZ to see incoming ling pressure.
2. Learn a new safe build order and practice defending vs two rax.
3. Keep improving map vision by finding best overlord positions (ZvP).
4. 2 Gate defense practice.
5. Learn a new safe ZvZ build order.
This section will be shorter than normal. Firstly I found the new build orders that I wished to learn. Firstly a pool first ZvZ build order to use on smaller maps, while my greedy build could be used on larger map. Secondly I wanted to investigate and learn Tefel's 15 pool vs terran build order, I hoped this would improve my 2 rax defense.
I played one ladder game a ZvZ where I easily defend a 10 pool with my new ZvZ build. The rest of the night was spent playing customs with a practice partner who two raxed me, I can't remember how many games we played but I lost every single one.
On the previous day I had taken the build to the ladder where I easily defended against reaper play and didn't seem to fall behind despite not going 15 hatch. However against the two-rax play, i'm still not sure how to defend it despite getting out early lings. I will have to practice more tomorrow.
Due to the lack of games, the game summary will remain fairly unchanged.
Game Summary and Points of Improvement
Vs Protoss (x-x)
- With a practice partner continue practice to help with defending two gates
- Re-practice the build orders to ensure I can defend all ins.
- Keep improving map vision by finding best overlord positions.
Vs Terran(x-x)
- Learn a new safe build
- Use lings to follow terran army to avoid being caught unprepared.
- Practice 2 rax defence.
Vs Zerg (1-0)
- Refine new build order, this will provide me with two builds which can be used based on maps.
Overall I still need to improve my build execution while I also need to focus on a few small areas. From tomorrow I will be using new builds in ZvT and ZvZ, I will go more into them tomorrow. So be sure to watch the stream!
Stream Summary
My streaming session was fairly crappy, I spent most of the stream researching and waiting for my practice partner so I don't think I even had any viewers! Tomorrow I will hopefully engage in a large ladder session and provide some good games for people to learn from.
