Kind of a quick TL Strategy update:

We've been a little dry over the past couple of months because we've all been busy with lots of school/work stuff. However, we have a few new writers now and we're working on releasing more Terran and Zerg content for the future. I have been playing Zerg fairly seriously for the past 3 months and I'm about ready to start writing confidently about it; you may have noticed that I already comment in the HotS Zerg Help Me Thread quite a bit. My current project is on the subject of scouting in ZvP, which I hope to be finished with by the end of the month (and released sometime in early May).

I hope everyone enjoyed the Protoss Book of Bullshit. Along with Teoita and Whitewing, it was a pleasure to write and really fun to joke around. I understand we may have upset some players in the community, but we're trying to undo the damage with some Terran and Zerg content

TL Strategy goals at the moment include:

Game Analysis from WCS/IEM
General Zerg/Terran Guides
TLMC Analysis
Maybe a Player Spotlight/Map Analysis

A map analysis would be really cool, especially since we are seeing more diverse maps. A contrast of strategies for different races/matchups on the different maps would be a nice read!

All the TL strategy in-depth articles have been phenomenal; both pushing the boundaries of theorycraft (I imagine most pros/teams do analysis too but prefer to keep it secret), and educating the community at the same time.

In terms of content, I wouldn't mind seeing an "out-of-the-box" piece, on something like series planning and mindgames, or trends in player development (who's influencing who); although all the standard stuff is awesome too.

Yeah, my good friend Yorkie, who nearly managed to cheese his way into the Ro16 of the LRSL against players 2 leagues above him

John you're my favorite. Also yayyy more zerg content. I've actually been playing the game, so maybe next time I won't have to cheese :D

Good point. We'll look into doing that with the new map pool since we've had such a huge change in maps.

Possibly! If we see another amazing Bo7 from sOs, I think something like that would definitely be worth a write-up! As far as general mind games go, however, a lot of times it's just more useful to do a game analysis on a particular brilliant game than to try and generalize it and make it applicable across several games. Main point: there are so many variables within a game and series, a lot of times it's really hard to pinpoint exactly why someone did something and exactly why it worked. However, whenever sOs does it, it's perfectly seamless and beautiful hehe
