Is it some magical aura around them, that you can feel, even through the internet? Is it their looks, you can guess by their username and writing in the forums? Is it some god-given thing you simply know?
I personally think that it is the things people do for others.
Just like most people on Liquipedia Staff, or the countless contributors on TeamLiquid, that make the forums the awesome place it is. A page like TeamLiquid very much depends on the community, and without the community, it just wouldn't be the same.
Thinking of this, i wanted to share with you, why i came here, and what my experiences with TeamLiquid are.
Most of you probably won't know me, and that's no wonder, since i rarely post on the forums, and when i do, it's mostly in the Liquipedia Contributors Forum, or under blogs. At the moment i haven't posted a hundred posts.
But, you probably came across at least one Liquipedia-Page i edited. As you can see at the bottom right of this blog, i got some nice silver coins, because i wanted to contribute and just did so by editing Liquipedia. Because of that, i even got mentioned by the Liquipedia Staff, which made me at least a bit proud. =)
Liquipedia is the one and only reason, why i created my TL-account. There was a spelling error on one page i wanted to fix, and since one can't edit Liquipedia without having an account, i just created one. I finally didn't end up fixing the error, because someone else had done it before me and it just wasn't approved yet, but i had the account and just started editing, because why not, i was watching the tournaments anyway, so i also could just update the results while doing so.
Working on Liquipedia, i got to write with some awesome guys, the Liquipedia Staffers. They are some awesome guys (and maybe girls? Not sure on this...), it's fun discussing with them, and they are really kind. I can only give you the advise to try it yourself. Get it on, and start editing Liquipedia, you really should try it.
Just join them on #liquipedia on quakenet, if you have questions about how to edit Liquipedia, and they will most likely help you, unless they all fell asleep, because they're really hard working.
Of course, if you're not into editing Liquipedia, there're plenty more opportunities to become an awesome TeamLiquid hero. If it's running a LR-Thread, doing Graphics stuff, being an editor, or by simply posting quality content to the page, everything helps, and it's the community, that makes TeamLiquid an awesome place, so please contribute to it
tl;dr
Please get involved!
Help making TeamLiquid a more awesome place, no matter how you want to do it, just start doing it.
