So I went to PoisonTVde to watch IEM - Katowice Asia and Oceania Qualifier. Some mediocre music greeted me, and then suddenly "a user joined your channel".
'Is my TS on? Am I talking to someone now?' I thought. But no, it turns out that it was the PoisonTVde commentary to this event. "A user left your channel". And "A user joined you channel". And some static from a mic.
So I typed to chat: more USER JOINED YOUR CHANNEL commentary please so unprofessional
And this is how it ended:

Not only did they delete these messages, I got a permaban.
Wasn't I fucking right?

You want to change things, but call him unprofessional. Do you want to be right or do you want more professionalism.
Sounds like you wanted to be right, so he did the unprofessional thing and banned you.

... Well, I hope next time they pay more attention to whatever they're broadcasting.
I stayed on that channel for a while: these guys keep swearing, they have little control over their brodcast - keep forgetting to switch to overlay and we can read all their conversations. It all makes for a pretty low user experience. I'm not really suprised they have so few viewers.

People are generally far more open to criticism that is delivered tactfully.

Those channels have <500 viewers for a reason... Just saying'

I would just report it to IEM/ESL guys.

Well.. You could have say something like :
- "Hello moderators. We can hear the TeamSpeak sounds : "user join your channel" and whatnot. Could you inform the casters ?"
And report it to the persons not on twitch chat where it's garbage that no one read.
And you can still inform people at IEM/ESL

Pretty interesting suggestion from someone with such nickname

Pretty interesting suggestion from someone with such nickname Because your nickname on the interenet has soooooooo much to do with how you behave on it. You should look at the emoticon used before lecturing someone on the internet

You know what, you're probably right, and even if you're wrong I'm still detracting from this thread

Well. Apparences are not always true

Even if sctstarcraft didn't go about it in the most tactful way, I agree that banning him was a very immature way of dealing with him...based on what we see. Possibly you had actually typed a lot more beforehand, in which case it's possible you had deserved it (I'm only pointing out the possibility though, not assuming that was the case). Either way, if the stream the provide is very unprofessional, letting IEM/ESL know so that they make a decision for themselves is definitely worthwhile, I agree.

Appearances are not always true I couldn't agree more with FFW_Rude, especially assuming we're still talking about forum nicknames.

I'm appalled by such injustice.

I would have banned you, too, because that´s no way to speak to people.

I acknowledge that my way of saying what I wanted to say was not too pleasant. I might have done it in a more helpful and positive fashion. I didn't. Still, note that I did not swear or call them names, I only used irony and called them "unprofessional". No "moron, you forgot to turn off your mic" or anything.
Glad to see people agree such broadcasting "style" is not appropriate. Hope the guys pay more attention in the future. I also, somehow, doubt it.

I agree that it seems plausible and often happens on the internet;) but I think it's actually not possible in this case! You can see the "joined chat" message, you can see the two lines for which I was banned (it was <message deleted>, but when I clicked on the text it appeared again) and you can see the third message which was never posted because of the permaban. Ahh, but of course I could've made the whole picture in paint or sth... Well, I didn't.

Still better than Marco Fernandez
