is a 10-year-old (and I'm 22).
The innocence of a girl who hasn't had her first blood, the ever-flowing energy, the pretty face, the poem she wrote about me...
I am her math tutor, but we usually talk about a lot of random things during our weekly 90-minute lesson. There's never an awkward moment. She tells me about her "boyfriends", I tell her about the girls in my class and the love letters they send me etc. She even show a little jealousy when she saw them. She even asked if I had seen "18+ videos". There's pretty much no secret between us.
I know she may not be the same anymore when she hits puberty, but still. I have never enjoyed being with someone so much before. One downside though: she tells everyone about everything we do. Even asked for my photo and showed it to all the kids in her class.
She has a 17-year-old sister, who's also my student. However, she's a total bitch. They are like the sun and whatever the opposite of it is.
It's such a pity that all of the "legal" girls I've met just bore the crap out of me (except for two foreign girls, but one is far away and the other I have no feeling for anymore).
I remember when I was 10, I was also massively in love with a girl my age. Wonder what she's like now. Probably turned into a goddamn biatch like everyone else.
It will be a very sad day when she hits puberty...
Here's a picture I found on the internet that looks very similar to her. I think I will give it to her as my thanks for the poem.

I predict someone will call you creepy or pedophile. Let's see if I'm psychic.

"Everyone's a bitch" is pretty much the motto of every terrible ideology that ever existed. Misogyny? Racism? Serial Killerism?
You need to rethink your approach to others. It's more likely the problem is with you.

Def with Hawpig. Gotta change your approach or your standards. Not everyone is perfect, including yourself, don't expect things to always be that way.
I went through a similar phase where I hated everyone and saw the worst in people. Try focusing on the good in people rather than the bad, your outlook on some of them may change. Some people it won't, but don't let it discourage you. I got out of that way of thinking after some time, and I do my best now to always find the best in everyone to the best of my abilities. It's made me a lot happier in the long run.

This is alarmingly creepy. It seems like your outlook on life is selfish and childish. I really doubt you're just too smart and enlightened to go out into the world and make connections with other people. Sounds like you are a coward who wants to be around someone who is easy to impress, a child will never challenge your feelings and they tend to look up to you. Go into therapy. There's a romantic/sexual subtext to this post that implies to me that you need drastic help?
|
I think you had a rough relationship before and so you are trying to find younger girls to go back to your primary school innocent type of girls?
Its definitely not a healthy mental state of mind.

It's arrogance, not pessimism

I was like this too, until recently. Eventually I realized that it was a combination of me being angsty (due to past experiences), judgemental, and just plain immature.

Hm, I interpreted it differently. I don't disagree with you, though.

Don't start exchanging gifts and poems with a 10 year old girl you teach. Somehow this topic has scored 11 Shaunis out of 10.

Don't want to get all freudian on you, but it looks like you got some old issues pent up. Other than that, this blog gave me hardcore flashbacks of /b/.

In the immortal words of Aesop Rock,
Life's not a bitch, life is a beautiful woman You only call her a bitch because she won't let you get that pussy. Maybe she didn't feel y'all shared any similar interests Or maybe you're just an asshole who couldn't sweet talk the princess.
I think you have some serious soul-searching to do in regards to your attitude towards women in 2014. Happy new year, and may you find peace with yourself and happiness with someone who isn't a pre-pubescent girl.

This is worrying though. I also picked up on an underlying sexual theme, which is most concerning. It is great to like hanging out with kids, especially when you feel you can open up to them, but it isn't healthy to the degree you are claiming.

Honestly, I don't know what is weirder: a guy describing his friendship with a 10 years old kid or bunch of other guys reading the nonexistent Lolita sexual crime context from it (unless there is such context involved, but it certainly cannot be seen anywhere in the text of the OP).
Friends... So hard to make them those days, anyway.
|
well, the fact that the first thing he thinks about when mentioning the girl is that she didnt have her period yet is kind of creepy.
|
No kidding Wingpawn. I'm sure the parents of this 10 year old girl are totally cool with the fact that her 22 year old math tutor is talking about porn with their daughter.
I'm also sure they would be totally cool reading about how the OP thinks that "legal" girls are boring and bitches, and that he derives satisfaction from the jealously that their 10 year old daughter feels when reading love letters he gets from girls in his class.(Who passes around love letters in what is presumably University, anyways?)
Most of all. I'm sure it would not at all be disconcerting to her parents to see the OP paralleling his own love for a 22 year old when he was 10 with what he believes is their daughter's obsession with him;
I remember when I was 10, I was also massively in love with a girl my age.
I don't know if you are looking for advice, OP. But you really need to stop tutoring her right now, and spend some serious time reflecting objectively on how messed up this is.

Op, you have poor boundaries.

I'm not sure if this is real or not, but if it is, it seems like a good friendship you have. Maybe you could help her not become an asshole.
Your relationship seems great, and I hope it stays the way it is.

He never said that he abuses this child, sexually or otherwise. Assuming that he is honest, I think their friendship is good. I also got the impression that he likes her mind, rather than her body. Calling him a pedophile is a little hasty at this point.
It seems to me like he dislikes people in general, not just women, since he said the only person he enjoys talking to is this girl, rather than the only female.
As for hating humanity (that is what the dictionary I used says a misanthrope does), there is nothing wrong with it, as long as you do it for the right reasons. If you hate the evil that exists in humanity, and you want humanity to be more just, and more good, then there is nothing wrong with it. It is a position I respect deeply. It is only problematic if you hate humanity for stupid reasons - not if you do it for the valid ones. We don't know which category he belongs to, but I will say that misanthropy in itself is not always a bad thing.
I think that the only ways to avoid being angry are through ignorance and through apathy. If this man's misanthropy is the manifestation of said anger, it's a sign that he cares, and has high standards. His high standards make him dislike most people, but if he is not a hypocrite, they also make him a better person - since he holds himself to them.

I think you're giving this guy a little too much credit.

I'm considering that this isn't even real, because of that picture which " looks a lot like her ". Lol. No human looks like that.

![[image loading]](http://www.cepolina.com/photo/technology/alarm/b/alarm-lamp-red-danger.jpg) I'll just leave this here.
I can understand that kids can be fun to talk with, they have an outlook on life that is very much unlike ours and it's interesting. That said, your perspective is creepy - right out of the gate you mention menstruation and puberty, "legality" of those girls. Why are you thinking of this illegal stuff at all? And what's with the drawing... who here is interested in knowing what the girl looks like if the thread is about how she's interesting to talk to?
11 Shaunis out of 10 indeed.

Instead of giving her that creepy anime picture, why not link her to this blog, so she can see how much you appreciate her?

Go abroad, language barrier is a bridge.

I don't think it's as bad as everyone else is making it seem. It sounds more like he sees himself in her and can relate his 10 year old self to her. If it's the same kind of love/admiration a parent has for a kid then it's totally fine. If it's sexual in anyway then ignore everything I said.
