Welcome to the Automated Ban List Fantasy Proleague blog!
What the hell is this? The Automated Ban List is one of the most perused threads on TL for veterans and masochists to join in the mutual suffering and schadenfreude of watching others and occasionally ourselves get banned. Since we seem to enjoy as many bans as possible we've made an FPL group that will magically give the smartest guy superpowers each week. To join the group simply go here and press the plus sign next to "Join Group" to add yourself to it.
Why do this horrible thing? Why do you think we hold a popularity contest?? Epeen! Also the highest scorer per week will be able to choose and ban anyone in the group for a sum of 2 days. And don't you think about dropping out of the group and whistling non-nonchalantly once it looks bad, man up and take your chances like everyone else! I will also keep a list of participants just in case you are a scaredy cat. I also spend 12 hours a day doing FPL so I will notice if someone leaves.
Rules:
1. Every week the top scorer gets to ban somebody within the group.
2. The same person can not be banned on consecutive weeks, but may be banned as many times as the FPL period will allow, and you can not ban yourself.
3. Post a reason in this blog along with your ban target when you do so and it will be included in the OP.
4. You should submit your ban target at most 2 days after the week's FPL results are released (so Thursday of the next week, presumably if everything works right).
5. If you do not ban a target before the following Friday (making the ban extend till after the next week's results), you forfeit your ban opportunity. There are no other penalties.
6. The ban target has to go to The Automated Ban List and request a temp 2 day ban with the reason "ABL FPL". If you do not do this, or if you fail to do this before the following Friday, you will be removed from the participants list and everyone on the list will scorn you and laugh at your cowardice for all ages. Since we are all masochists we probably won't have a problem with this.
7. The same person can only ban a maximum of once a month, if the same person is the highest scorer consecutively, the ban gets handed down to the next highest, and so on. So in the case that the top 4 is consistent for the entire month, all top 4 get a chance to ban.
8. Please don't make an alternate account just to join this group so you have a higher chance to ban someone. This means you, The_Templar. Wait, that's me.
I signed up. I'm unsure if I'll regret this or not later on, since I don't even follow Starcraft 2 that much anymore, but when there's a challenge like this I'll just have to man up!
Didn't we have some kind of a rule against joining mid-week by people who realize they have enough points to be at/near the top (or at least their score not counting for the week they joined)?

2/3 playdays into the week, and I'm in the lead! But today/tonight/whenever the only points I can gain are through Maru and I've got a possible Antiteam vs antiteam match in Reality vs TY (as if they aren't already hurting me enough! I hope someone 3-0's and it doesn't happen!)
So docvoc, axej, and Ciryandor, y'all are only a few points behind this week! Hope everyone has their banhammers ready! >:D
In a tiebreaker I feel it is fair to give the victory to the player with the better captain, as this is done in regular ranking. Therefore: Ciryandor wins this week since he has a better captain than axej!
Time to sign up for round 2! Hopefully more people are active here. (This means subscribe to this thread and/or follow it closely!) Click here to join the group.
