EPTI had a Composing at the Computer class which assigned a number of projects. Each of these projects had specific restraints on them.
I think it helps a lot to put restraints on your creations. I learned a lot by attempting to do things I would usually not have done. For example I learned to record using a microphone because it made a number of things sound better. Also, sometimes it was just easier to shake a shaker a few times rather than search for the perfect sample!
Those of you who create things how do you feel about restraints? I believe them to be a very good learning tool!
