2C-E
I’ve only tried a handful of true psychedelics: LSD, mushrooms, 4-ACO-DMT, and fortunately 2C-E was one of them. From my experience, 2C-E most closely resembled LSD, although it was very unique in its own way. The last time I took it was over 3 years ago so it isn’t too fresh in my mind but I’ll try to recall as much as possible.
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Z4Y7YRM.jpg)
I acquired 250mg of very high purity powder before it was scheduled. It tasted pretty bad. Weirdly bitter. I’d just have a mouthful of water, dump the powder in there and swallow it as fast as possible. I've railed it about 4 times and each time burned like a motherfucker.
Like all my psychedelic experiences, 2C-E kicked in about 40mins to an hour after administration. The come up is uncomfortable. I start to feel a little antsy and anxious. When it hits me though, the initial discomfort goes away and the trip begins.
The visuals aren’t as “pretty” as LSD. LSD gives me very liquidy visuals where everything seems to be melting (in a good way), like ripples in a pond. And of course the crazy colors. 2C-E visuals seem more like vines growing on a tree sped up. This might not make sense to people but that’s the best way I can describe them. My blanket had some patterns of vines and it’d grow out of the blanket to the rest of its surroundings. Then when I focus on something else, my vision would almost come back to baseline for a split second. Then once I stare off somewhere the visuals would resume. There are definitely colors but they aren’t as vibrant as LSD’s. I’m sure someone who has tried it can give a more elaborate description.
When I’m tripping hard on any psychedelic, it gets hard for me to do anything but lie down and get lost in my thoughts. At the time I was going through some shit. For a while before this experience, I was taking oxycodone regularly, I took a break and then continued to abuse hydrocodone. I had my first 2C-E experience while I was getting hooked on opiates again. While LSD makes me feel like a hippy and feel that everything will be okay because of this tremendous amount of LOVE that I’d feel for everything and everyone, 2C-E was more analytical and clear headed. It felt less “delusional”. I realized how much I hated myself for the things I had done. I’m not gonna get into detail, but the reoccurring theme in this trip was that I should love MYSELF. The unique quality about 2C-E is that it helps break bad habits. After this trip I had no mental craving for opiates for about a month. Other people have mentioned this quality as well. That might have been what I needed to get off of opiates completely, but as many of you know it’s difficult to integrate lessons learned on psychedelics to your sober life in the long run. That and opiates are a bitch.
I had been listening to music for most of my trip. I couldn’t get over the fact that I was listening to a recording. I couldn’t for the life of me distinguish what was being played live and what was a recording being played back to me. One of those psychedelic moments lol.
Well I know this isn’t the most interesting description but just thought I’d type up something for those who are curious.
Thanks Sasha.

This "breaking bad" habits bit is not unique to 2C-E at all; researchers are discovering that most of the conventional *and many of the unconventional) psychedelics have very interesting uses insofar as addiction is concerned. It would seem like you simply stumbled upon a compound that yields positive results for you. Personally, I found all of the 2-C's except for 2-CB rather underwhelming, mostly due to the difference in visuals as you described and the body feel problem. In any case, 'tis good that you enjoyed the experience. The same cannot be said for all

Personally, 2C-B is my favorite of the 2C family. It is the bees knees. Had two grams of the stuff, and went through it SUPER FAST. Spreading the love yea yo!
The 2C's are not even close to full on experiences that other psychedelics can bring out. It is relatively easy going and if you've never tripped on a psychedelic before I think that it is indeed a great starting point. Super sociable substance as well. Only downside was that ingesting often made my stomache troubled, but that went away with time and some weed.
I've gotten my hands on and have tried many psychedelics (LSD/mushrooms/various 2C's/mescaline/DMT/ketamine if that counts/and an array of research chemicals such as 5-MeO-DMT/DIPT/etc)
and to this very day, LSD is my favorite. My best and most powerful experience (in terms of visuals, emotional, headspace) was when I took -whoever fucking knows how many micrograms- of deadpaper family blotter. Hands down.

Sounds interesting How does it (and the other psychedelics you mentioned) compare to shrooms, since I've only tried them? I was honestly disappointed by the visuals when I tried shrooms for the first time. I expected to see pink unicorns floating with me true skies full of candy, but the only thing I got was some water flowing up the wall, and a shiny glow attached to the colors of all objects in the room. Upping the dose to the maximum recommened by my guru/shroom-aficionado friend made the experience much better with something trying to break out of the wall, objects bending, mist appearing on the ceiling, seeing super-HD scenes when closing my eyes, and the music becoming divine, so vibrant and clear, which I can only describe as if there was a subwoofer attached to my brain. Still I was perfectly aware where I am and there weren't any really crazy hallucinations. Also, shrooms make me feel like my stomach is going to burst...

that stuff is just a psychedelic art genre convention, tripping is nothing at all like that

Its normal to feel nauseous after taking shrooms. Also shrooms are more internal and have a lot more body load that visuals. If you want fancy visuals, go for LSD.
You will only see pink unicorns and skies full of candy after a lot of experience with LSD. Try not to go for a big hit when you have little experience with it as you will drive yourself insane, you need to build up some mental resilience otherwise you will have a bad trip of a lifetime.
Also once you reach that point, you won't be sane anymore, it will be like another soul inhabited your body and you will be flying around the universe, become omniscient and omnipresent, and end up where all things were created. So even when you do start to see what you want to see, it won't be "you" seeing it, if that makes any sense.

Enjoyed 2C-E. Had 100mg of it at point in my life. Would recommend it to anyone who was interested in it already but for most, stick with classical psychs. More "fun" and better safety margin. 2C-E definitely gave strong visuals, a very electrical and holographic aspect of/piece of psychedelia. Body energy becomes part of the trip.

I agree. Conventional psychedelics are more "fun". LSD is my favorite as well Definitely wanna try the other 2C's thought, esp 2C-I and 2C-B. I didn't know that other unconventional psychedelics had properties that helped you quit bad habits!
Most psychedelics don't make you hallucinate unicorns and elves out of nothing. It's more of a visual distortion, it generally gives you visuals dependent on what's already there. This isn't always the case, but the term "hallucination" can be a tad misleading to those who've never tried them.
Shrooms are very similar to 4-ACO-DMT, not so much 2C-E. I enjoy shrooms for its own qualities. It feels more organic and the visuals look like ancient Mayan art. ggrrg how much did you take? All experiences are also dose dependent.
Talking about all this makes me wanna trip again. Unfortunately I'm in a country where acquiring any is extremely difficult, if not impossible.
And yes, Sasha is Alexander Shulgin! The man who synthesized this stuff

I only used 2cb one but it was really nice. Would need more to get a better sense of it... but I started tripping while watching Dredd (the remake lol) and was blown away at the 3d effect scenes (which me and my friends were watching in 2d haha.)
I dosed right before putting the movie on, so as it went on I got progressively higher and higher, each "3D" scene becoming weirder and weirder, slower and slower. I finally looked away from the screen during one of these scenes because I was like, "dude lol am I tripping out this scene is seriously going SOOoooooohhh fuckinnnnggggggggg slowwWwWWwwwWwwelleeeeee" and I see my friend move his arm into the air creating a sick amount trails/tracers behind it, making me feel as though I had just dosed slo-mo (the drug in the movie) myself IRL.
And of course while all this had happened such *epic*/dramatic "slow motion music" had been ringing in my ears. Pretty awesome and very funny psychedelic experience. Highly recommend watching Dredd while on drugs.

Before taking shrooms I make sure that I'm in the right mood and in a place where I feel comfortable. I also have had a sitter (my guru friend ^^) every time. I've never felt bad or like I might lose it because i'm tripping. As a matter of fact, my 3 shroom trips have been somewhere between very pleasant and extremely great.

My first time, I started off with slightly less than 3 gramm (2.8 I believe). The second time, I took about 5 gramm (5.2 maybe!?). Last time, I went for 6.3 gramm.

Thing is shrooms are completely different to LSD psychologically. I can consume a lot of psilocybin and still be in control, just feel really funky. I have odd thoughts, but I can tell whether or not to believe them with enough willpower.
LSD is different, I find that if I take enough I am unable to stay sane no matter what, I start believing a lot weird shit is true like the laws of the universe are completely different, even when on shrooms I wouldn't have that effect on the same kind of dosage. At times I have considered putting myself in handcuffs before a lone big trip because I'm worried ill do something really stupid like strip naked and run outside, though at most I just make sure no one is coming to my place that day and lock all the doors and close the windows Medium dosages I don't resort to anything of the like though.
Then you have the full outer body experience, which is another level on top of that, I think at least, it is physically impossible to be "in control" at that point. I've never experienced that on shrooms.
