Previously, I blogged about that I was going to return to playing MTG.
I was going to a local Theros release draft where I live and about 12 people participated in the draft. Because I've never drafted MTG before; and I haven't played it in about three years, you could say that I didn't use the most optimal drafting strategy and I eventually ended up with a weird Red(White/Blue) deck that was dependent on not losing in the early game. 4 Swiss rounds where played before the semi-finals and I ended up losing all of them 0-2. However I still had a great time playing and still got some good card for building decks with.
During the downtime of mine, I bought an extra booster and I think I got lucky because I managed to get a foiled Thoughtseize, and some people I talked to said that it was a valuable card

Cool. I've only done sealed so far with Theros so I have no idea what drafting it is like.
It's probably good timing for you to start back up with magic at the beginning of a block... I started towards the end of Return to Ravnica block and it was quite confusing! We have lots of magic discussions in the dedicated thread in the sports and games section of teamliquid.

Is the Mtg:online thread used for general Mtg discussions nowadays? Only MTG thread that I can find.
I also want to try out sealed some day

Where in Sweden did you find the Theros draft? Apparently there was one at Stockholm University recently but I found out a few days too late

Yeah the thread tends to be used for all types of magic... not just mtg online. Much of the discussion is high level constructed oriented though so I don't participate in that part :p
