I do not think this is much of a surprise comming form the totalbiscuit-genna couple.They invested some money into sc2 but after failing to obtain big profits(and i am only quoting tb twitter right here) they sort of realize that esports is not exactly the thing that could bring in profits and they decide to slowly leave by throwing dirt at everyone that disagrees with them,This is happening in the context in which totalbiscuit is threatening to stop casting sc2 (like anyone forced him in the first place).

I find quite obnoxious that they are insulting Take who has provided the community with one of the best and most entertaining tournament s there is HSC which ran for 7 editions and made sc2 players look more human.Also take has been with sc2 from the very beggining.In terms of what the sc2 community is concerned I would much rateher prefer to have take and see the next HSCups than hear about totalbiscuit whinning and moaning all day long.

And this is another thing I disliked form the very first day about the totalbiscuit jenna-couple:the constant whinning and moaning.Everybody knows that in the esports industry you have to deal with unpleasant situations.LiquidNAzgul knows about this,alex garfield,sir scoots,day9 and countless other team owners and people involved know about this yet none of them moan and complain as much as totalbiscuit and genna.I mean literally you would think they are the only ones having issues and everyone else doesn't.Totalbiscuit is probably the only teamowner who constantly throws the 100k $ number on twitter to remind the community how much he invested.I never hear Nazgul say on twitter:"Man I invested probably a million dollars since bw in the sc scene you all should not say anything bad about me".Get over it.You are not more entitled than any other team owners who put money into the scen.If esports,and especially sc2 does not make you a profit then for gods sake move one.

I would not be surprised that in a couple of months after tb and genna decide to leave sc2 permanently they will write an essay on reddit simmilar to what destiny did when he switched to lol saying how bad sc2 is and how much the community sucks.On the long run tb will hurt the sc2 proscene more than they will help.

And the excuse about bashing is absolutely pathetic.All people in esports get ot deal with anonymus trolls.So what?Noone has quoted them as the reason for baciing off esports.And bashing Take out of all people is absolutely disgenuite.Oh and by the way Take has not taken any legal action.He might have just been upset and trolled on skype.

In conclusion:I understand that people can not make large amounts of money of sc2.But if you really wana quit the scen do not do it destiny style by throwing trash at everyhting.instead be more humble about it.Nobody blames you.

Did you read what Take said in those logs? He looked like a wonderful person trying far harder than he needed to to rectify a mistake of his. Acer didn't look evil at all, either. They didn't scam anyone, didn't withhold money, none of that crap.

WCS timing matters here. The travel for that probably wouldn't have been figured into budgets created at the beginning of the year. So there are a lot of unplanned expenses that swallow the entire budget. And from the other side, what kind of tournament doesn't say: hey, our LAN final is at this time and this is what we're willing to do for travel arrangements? Literally every tournament provides some sort of travel accommodation as part of the package. Why wouldn't you be clear and up-front about what that was?

So it was bad communication and planning from both sides, and Genna acknowledged that.

Rejoin Axiom and know that you'll need to take some heat in this business.

Whatever you do in the end, I wish you the best luck. And if your decision of leaving Axiom is final, I sincerely hope that TB can hire some competent people to fill the gap. The guy probably already works 2x more hours than myself and other "regular" people with most likely less actual vacation days. At some point, he'll be spreading thin I'm sure.

Well, since Axiom and Acer seem to be on completely fine terms, that sounds like TaKe's issue.

That's probably why he's upset...


Let me rephrase. If Acer isn't upset that Genna revealed the information (and she says they aren't), then TaKe would be in trouble regardless, and he's scapegoating Genna.

There's truth in what you say (the bold parts anyway) but it's not relevant to this situation in particular. You defend Take for past actions when he doesn't deserve a defense in this case. Yes, he does great things for the scene. So do TB and Genna. The problem is that one of them is in the wrong here, and it's Take.

Sounds a lot like somebody desperate to defend a party, regardless of the moral wrong in the situation.

Regardless of most of his post one bit of it is bang on the money.

TB's sense of entitlement is unrivalled in the scene, possibly stems from ego or surrounding himself with yes men but its there present and never goes away.

I worked for GosuGamers for a couple months as a journalist - realistically I just posted roster changes and tournament results and stuff. I covered a few slightly controversial Dota 1/2 happenings, but I didn't really break much news or anything. And the amount of shit I got was a bit silly, even including death threats. If that's what I got in six months of "Tournament XYZ Announced; Features Teams A, B, C" then I'd expect everyone involved at the team or management level to get rivers and buckets of the most vile abuse possible. So it's not just this one thing. It's that ultimately being involved in eSports as anything other than a fan really isn't worth the hassle.

I agree. I hope TB has some support to help him manage the team, and if not...the good news is that TB is a beast and I'm sure he'll do everything in his power to give them what they need.

Either way, good lucky to her and TB in their future endeavors, its unfortunate for the scene that we had to lose such a dedicated member of the community.
