So i thought it would be a great idea to kinda make some blogs every now and then about my laddering just for fun. This'll be my first entry.
So yeah um im fu*ked atm. might as well start off by saying that. So much bullsh*t have happened to me in sc2 nowadays I've grown tired of zerg part of the reason why is because i played soo well in zvp and zvz but my winratio in zvt was so bad i couldn't move up the ladder even though the other 2 matchups were fine. So instead of playing 24/7 trying to fix my zvt i gave it all up and switched to protoss. But now i got a new problem. That is adapting to the protoss playstyle. The protoss playstyle is very different from zerg, it requiries a different mindset when you play. I also have still haven't learned any builds orders for protoss and i pretty much only lose on the ladder so right now im just trying to motivate myself to go for diamond. But it's tough to motivate yourself when litterary everything you get thrown torwards you is loss streaks and more challenges to overcome. It just feels like an uphill battle all the time.
But there's one thing that motivates me though and that is that i can overcome alot of things if i just try. I want that diamond badge one day and hopefully i might get it. But besides laddering i've tried to just relax abit and go out and ride my bicycle to get my mind off sc2. i also started playing World of warcraft again to just relax and not let myself get bothered by all the struggles in starcraft.
I feel like starcraft is really important to me because i really enjoy competition but i tend to get mad if i perform very badly. i still think that things will get better. i've had some performance issues before but sooner or later things will get better.
It's not the best blog but i like to keep things real, it's more a story about my everyday life and thoughts. And if you are having performance issues in sc2 or you struggle alot with a matchup then just remember that we all encounter some difficulties but the best thing you can do is to keep your head up and handle it. Cause remember that after every dark night there's a bright day after that.

There are two things that lead to disappointment in our lives...
1. Not getting what you want. 2. Getting what you want.
Enjoy your post-modern life!

I do the same thing, play wow when I don't feel like dealing with all the stress that comes with sc2.

i go swimming when i get stressed.
First of all, it is exhausting, so all anger goes away. Then, it teaches willpower because swimming properly is against what the lazy body wants to do, but if you give in, it will actually take much more energy.. Plus you can always improve technique and also your constitution, noone swims perfectly.
And being under water and all, you focus inwards and dont get distracted. Swimming long distances clears the mind.

Tbh i stopped playing sc2 a long time ago because it stressed me, at one point it was more stress than fun for me and i just dont want to do something stressful in my free time. I can play competitively in other games too without all that ladder stress.
I think it's more of an attitude thing though, in the game i am currently playing i am just playing when i feel like it and when i dont feel like playing anymore i stop, which has carried me to the highest bracket. In starcraft i had the attitude that i have to get better, which left me at low diamond without motivation one day. Maybe taking starcraft2 less serious would have brought me further too.
Btw yes, toss mentality is totally different to zergs. I made the switch the other way round, because i really disliked toss turtle-heavy gameplay. I wanted to play more aggressive in the mid-game without dropping any possibility for a macro game, a possibility that toss doesnt provide. Essentially toss plans from the beginning to either all-in or turtle, there is nothing in between.

I think zerg is more turtlely than toss. If you want to play aggressively play terran. If you are aggressive with zerg early you will end up behind. Thats why zerg needs to drone up (80-90) and demolish the opponent. Toss can also be aggresive with their timing attacks and aggrestion with the mothership recall plus small zealot warp ins / blink stalkers. As I can see it, Toss is all about getting your tech up and the splash expensive units to win. Zerg is about the macro and game awareness trying to build teh econ fast, overrun and win Terran is about aggression droping everywhere while getting econ and winning.
As for OP, it is just natural, we all do that with SC2 as I admit the stress in this game is too heavy as you solely carry it unlike other games like dota/LOL/CS where you have a team. It is like you are having all the burden and got nothing to blame but yourself so release your stress :D
As for me, I usually play D3 or any hack and slash mindless game or play dota/magic the gathering etc. Eat, watch tv series or workout is also good.

They have some capstones they need to reach to survive, but they really have some space in between.
Toss on the other hand is always all-in the moment they get aggressive. Any blink-stalker attack needs to do a lot of damage if not kill the enemy or you are dead. Zealot warpins imo only get viable when you are already in the late game, although there are some situations against zerg where you can try to kill the third early. When the enemy reaches a capstone you have to have your countertech or you die and usually the enemies tech is cheaper. Which is the reason that many toss builds atm build only 5 units or less in the first 10 minutes. I have seen recall+early gateway attacks more than a few times die against timing attacks. On higher skill level they have yet to prove viable imo.
While i really like terran gameplay, i absolutely hate their style. So no terran for me.
