Phalanx's Daily #54: Trying to cast again!

Sup guys, back against with another attempt at casting! Today's attempt is a little bit less embarrassing... if anything I lack confidence more than anything, so maybe I just gotta try to get used to talking to myself more for these things. I think that I did a lot better with trying to talk louder, sound sliiiightly more enthusiastic.

Today's game was one of my own, against a zerg. It was a little bit weird because it was by no means standard, but it didn't go too badly for me. Probably not the best of games to have casted, but I didn't have much material. Been feeling really down about my laddering due to a recent loss streak (win rate about 50% still, however) and so I didn't have many new games for today. As for the video, I know I still have a long way to go, but, practice practice ^^. Give it a view, tell me what you think!

Nothing much else for today, since I was pretty busy unlike most other days. I also might be taking a bit of a draw back from SC2 for the next few days as I cram to take a Cisco certification exam... I really can't fail it because I've already failed it once D:!!!

Although no longer part of their community, Phalanx continues to support DarkOnyx. They have barely any activity, but with some more love maybe they might actually get their asses working . They're a great bunch of guys, and really the reason why I could get up to the league I am now.

Hey, I like to read your battle reports once in awhile so I skimmed through your cast. Some things that could maybe be improved:

-The FPS is pretty low. Can you maybe lower your settings a bit?
-Game sounds are too loud.
-Maybe you can try to cycle through the replay tabs more often. The important ones are the Units tab, the Income tab, and the Production tab. The other ones can give you something to talk about too, like Units Lost.
-Some more hype might make it more exciting. You might need to force it a little at first but I think if you keep casting, that sort of thing will come naturally.

I'm no Protoss but a big thing I noticed in terms of the game itself was that you hardly used your Mothership Core. Time Warp could have helped against all those banelings and the Nexus cannon could have helped defend the attack that occurred right before 19 minutes. And of course, it lets you be out on the map without having to worry about losing your army.

Anyway, it was a fun video.

thanks for the view & suggestions, I definitely will try to cycle through tabs more. From looking at the tabs myself in that game, I actually could have done stuff like point out how little I lost compared to him

@Anax, I'm currently in Diamond leauge. I wouldn't quite say that I'm "high" diamond, but I'm maybe around 25+ in standings.

Cool! I ask because I've never been above Gold, lol, and it's interesting to me to see the "middle ground" between terrawful like me and ungodly good like the pros.

By the way, your name caught my eye. Originally was the only reason I bothered checking you out.
